Hi Danny, well done in Vegas.
Do you think that maybe you should have not got it all in with AK pre flop five handed against the guy second in chips for 35 big blinds?. You didn’t need to get involved so aggressively.
Two hands later you tilt shoved with A9. Do you think this was a mistake?.
How the feck can guys that make it to the final 5 of a tourney in Vegas be so bad as to call an all in for there tournament with AJ and K4 ?. Were the other players in the tourney worse than them?
No I shoved taking away his play to get it in as a flip. For example I may get him to fold all pairs up to 1010 or something that he 5 bet jams on me but can’t call a shove with when he is 2nd in chips. He made a massive ICM fail by calling off with AJo. If he’s calling with AJ it’s clearly not a mistake to get it in, not to be results oriented. I was picking up chips so easily that shoving this spot and taking away the play just allows me to win a decent sized pot pre flop most times and then continue to pick on scared money. And by tilt shove I meant “tilt shove.” I tried to make it look like I was tilted, this guy was flat happy and it just made my hand super easy to play. People will call off lighter in this spot with some broadways, weaker aces, and obviously K4 lol, since they think I am tilted. The players were definitely not strong in this tournament and it was one of great value. Thanks for your comment and hope this helps!
