46th Annual WSOP will take place from May 27th to July 14th.
The World Series of Poker recently announced dates and showcase events for the 2015 WSOP to be held at the Rio All Suites Hotel in Las Vegas.
2015 WSOP Showcase Events
The 46th Annual WSOP will run from May 27th through July 14th, and see the return of popular events such as the $1,500 buy-in Millionaire Maker (June 5th), $1,500 buy-in Monster Stack (June 12th) with 15,000 starting chips, $1,000 buy-in Seniors Championship (June 19th), Ladies Championship (June 25th – featuring a 90% buy-in reduction for female participants), and the Little One for One Drop on June 30th, where a significant amount of the event’s proceeds will be donated to the One Drop Foundation.
The Series’ first marquee event, The Colossus, will begin on May 29th. The $565 buy-in event will boast a $5 million total prize pool.
In all, there will be more than 60 bracelet events during the 2015 World Series of Poker. The Daily Deepstacks events (held three times per day during the WSOP) will also return. Concrete dates for the 2015 WSOP Main Event have yet to be released.
Live & Online Experience
Last year, the World Series of Poker focused an unprecedented amount of its efforts on providing its participants with a combined live & online poker experience – designating a special room in the Rio for online play and giving players a chance to directly fund their accounts on the WSOP.com poker website, which is licensed to operate within the state of Nevada.
Although no formal announcement has been made on the Series’ plans providing a similar experience to players in 2015, it is widely assumed that even more efforts will be made to accommodate players who wish to play both live and online from the Rio this summer.
