Hey guys. This week we continue with Marc Alioto’s Merge 100k hand history review, this time joined by special guest James “rivermen123” Lambert (last week’s guest on the podcast). We also get part 4 of the latest sticking it to the man, which is always fun, and also some low stakes live action with Daryl Jace.

Merge $100k 2nd Place Finish with Marc “aznAllin007″ Alioto (Part 4)
In this video, we have a special guest – James “rivermen123” Lambert joins Marc to discuss the end stages of this tournament. The video starts at the start of the final table, and Marc comes in 2/9. It is great to see James and Marc bounce off each other, this is very much a “stick it to the man” style video. There is some great discussion on some different regs, and also some good points on some stack sizes you can raise-fold into.
33 minutes into the video, James goes through what stats he uses on his HUD, and this is something that lots of people are interested in, so check it out. There is also a really cool hand late in video where Marc 3bets the flop with air after a check-raise. The video ends at the start of heads up play, with equal stacks.
Sticking it to the Man! RonFezBuddy’s Low Stakes Live Sweat with Dannyn13 and Cougars4444 (Part 4)
In part 4, RFB continues with a shortish stack in the 1r frenzy although it is still in the rebuy period, and some decent stacks in the other tourneys. There are two interesting hands early on, both where RFB has JJ. Unfortunately RFB runs pretty badly and soon it is down to two tournaments. There is some nice strategy for the rebuy frenzy tournaments if you play those. .
Low Stakes Live Sweat with Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace (Parts 1, 2)
Daryl Jace has been extremely prolific on TPE lately, which is awesome, and this time he is back with a live sweat on Lock Poker. He is playing some micro stakes tourneys, including two $3 tourneys, whilst waiting for some more cash online. Unfortunately Lock isn’t seating him into a poker maximus $1r tourney, and he is tilted right from the start! Eventually he is seated and it can begin. Early on someone limps, and he straight away tags this player as a fish, and in general I think that is an excellent way to characterise people, unless they show you anything different. The whole of part 1 is pretty funny as Daryl is tilting hard at the Lock software.
In part 2, the tilt seems to have abated a bit, so it is down to playing. Once again he notes every single limper as a fish, it is extremely useful to do this. Other than that, the video continues with some solid poker.

This week, “cousteer” has KK in the BB against a big stack UTG raise and faces an A high flop
“duggs” is getting his 5bet bluff on against a competent aggro

There is also some great discussion in a thread started by new member “ExodusNZ” where he satellites into a $200 major on party, and wonders what adjustments he should make for a larger tourney.

Lastly, if you want to weigh in on the debate of the origin of the term “stuffy baker” here is the very humorous thread!

Member Scores
The member scores seemed to be a bit light on this week. The big score of the week was “ChopYouUp” who managed to win the PKR open for 2.1k. Once again “insidiously” was prolific at the tables, final tabling his first ever lock high roller, a 17.5k gtd turbo, and a 5k gtd $11c. “badabing78” has also been back on the grind lately, shipping tourneys in back to back nights!
See you at the tables!

Great one Benny.. You can only get so much mileage out of a home game shippage! This weeks game 3 is the post-Easter digestive where our eyes are firmly set on crippling the league leader mcgcanwin2… I expect the leveling wars to escalate tonight!
bennymacca
whoops! for some reason that “member tourney” section has stuck around from last week’s article and should have been deleted. not sure why it wasn’t. sorry about that, you are right, mcgcanwin2 won last week’s tourney
looking forward to the tourney tonight though!
