Hey guys. This week we continue with the sticking it to the man series, with RFB deep in a $3r. I personally think this is some of the best micro stakes content on the site – we get three different opinions on every hand, so it is really top shelf stuff. We also get the conclusion of Daryl Jace’s latest low stakes live sweat, and a forum hand post from none other than the big dog himself.

If you haven’t checked out the other articles or blogs in a while, there is also some cool new content too.

Sticking it to the Man! RonFezBuddy’s Low Stakes Live Sweat with Dannyn13 and Cougars4444 (Parts 5 and 6)

Part 5

Part 6

In part 5, is down to 2 tables, he is deep a 3r, and in the rebuy period of the $1 rebuy frenzy. It is near the bubble in the 3r, there is an interesting hand on the stone bubble where a short stack shoves from the small blind into RFB’s BB. Unfortunately he gets 3 outered in the frenzy, but it is now in the cash of the 3r. He also loads up a turbo Deepstack. The recurring theme is postflop betsizing, but RFB keeps the aggression going which is great.

After a killer introduction by DannyN13, we are back to the action in part 5 with RFB deep in the 3r and building a stack in the turbo deepstack tourney. There are some great tips on note taking at this stage of the tournament. RFB has found a few more euphemisms for a decent stack, so we know he is running great! Although he loses a relatively big pot near the end of the video, he is still in a great position to final table.

Low Stakes Live Sweat with Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace (Parts 3, 4)

Part 3

Part 4

In part 3, it is still relatively early stages, and Daryl’s tilting is slowly subsiding! I really like Daryl’s notes – if he thinks someone is aggro, he also puts a number alongside that note that describes how confident he is in that note. Unfortunately he doesn’t run that great, but he keeps soldiering on. In part 4, the bustouts still continue at a rapid rate, but the $1r is into the cash and going well.

Article – 5 Characteristics of Winning Tournament Players

This article is a must read if you are looking to improve your game, and if you don’t think you have any of these characteristics in your game, it sets out a roadmap for improvement.

Blogs

This week DannyN13 starts up his TPE blog, and Cougars4444 posts a warning about Bovada.

Forum

This week, the bigdog himself posts a hand that is clearly 5 levels above my thinking, because I still flip flop back and forth between whether this is a really strong or really weak line.

New member “payformygolf” (sick name btw) posts an interesting hand where he rivers two pair but faces a tough spot.

For once, one of my own hands generates a little bit of discussion, this one was a really weird spot where a villain 6x raises near the bubble of a $50 tourney

Finally, KB has started up an interest thread for a fantasy league for this year’s WSOP, so check it out if you would like to be involved.

Member Tourney

The 2 year anniversary tournament on Lock has been run and won, although I am not sure who managed to ship it. Congratulations to whoever did though, I will endeavour to give you a proper shoutout next week.

Don’t forget for those outside the US, join up to the new TPE league on stars and hopefully we can get a member tournament up and running in the near future. Check this thread for details:

Member Scores

This week “badabing78” updates his brag thread with the obligatory huge score, “pkrnewb42” finishes 5thin a $11 10k on stars, KB makes a couple of final tables but unfortunately busts in the early stages, and “insidiously” makes another run at what must be his favourite tourney, the 5.5k gtd on Lock. Special mention also has to go to “VanH3Lzing” who has had some sick scores lately, and posts some really great advice.

See you at the tables!
