This week, Daryl Jace wraps up his latest series while Chris Moon and Andrew Brokos continue with theirs. Also, Matt Hunt gives us an article on playing from the big blind. The highlight of the week was the long awaited return of the TPE Podcast featuring an epic interview with Andrew. It was a real treat to hear him on the other side of the mic.

December Live Sweat with Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace

In the conclusion to this epic series, Daryl starts off 4 handed with a big chip lead. Right away, he systematically disassembles the table with an individualized plan of destruction for each villain. It is truly a sight to behold. I love the way he genuinely praises their games right before he slaughters them like a polite serial killer.

In part 5, Chris starts match 3 of his WCOOP Shootout run. He doesn’t play many hands in the beginning, but does a good job of using mistakes others make as teachable moments.
TPE Theory: Bluffing with Andrew Brokos

In part 2, Andrew gives examples of the concepts he discussed in part 1. Here he starts with modest bluffs where he is mainly looking at good spots to get villians to fold air or weak showdown hands. In part 3, he moves on to bigger, more ambitious bluffs. These should be used rarely but you must have them in your game if you want to become a big winner.

In a new article this week, Matt Hunt talks about playing from the big blind. It’s all about pot odds and wide ranges when you’re deciding whether or not you should flat. When considering a 3-bet, it’s important to use balanced polarized ranges against the better players.
