This week, Andrew wrapped up his bluffing series, Danny finished his TCOOP primer, and Chris Moon continued with his WCOOP review. Also, we had a new article on open raising. In case you missed it, this week was also one in which we had a ton of big scores from the pros both live and online, including another piece of jewelry. Check it out.

TCOOP Prep Live Sweat with DannyN13

In part 6, Danny is down to one table and is entering the midstages of the 109 rebuy on Stars. He is relatively deep for a turbo with about 60 big blinds. This allows him to stay active and chip up as the bubble approaches. Spoiler alert: The series ends the way it started…Brutally.

WCOOP 6max Shootout Hand History Review with Chris Moon

In part 6, Chris starts in last place with four left in the last match before the final table. Fortunately, he has a good read on the table and is able to play his short stack aggressively and finally gets his hands on some chips and makes a miraculous comeback.

TPE Theory: Bluffing with Andrew Brokos

In part 4, Andrew shows us some example of ambitious bluffs. Usually these involve spots where hero is in position and villain does something on the turn to cap his range. In part 5, we learn how to evaluate bluffs away from the table. We want to look at spots where we could have bluffed but didnt as well as spots where we bluffed and got caught.

Thoughts on Pre-Flop Raising Adjustments

The article this week warns us not to overdo it when we are adjusting our opening sizes on a table full of calling stations. It’s ok to occassionally go above the sweet spot of 2-3x the big blind, but doing this regularly leads to bloated pots and less post flop maneuverability.
