Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on last week’s article, I am glad you like it and I hope you find it useful. I’m not sure about you guys but my favourite part of TPE is the podcasts, so I was really excited when I opened up iTunes to see a new podcast downloading. Add to that, we get four videos from four different series this week, so there is something for everyone!
Podcast
January 25th, 2012 – MTT Strategy with bigdogpckt5s and aznAllin007
https://www.tournamentpokeredge.com/january-24th-2012-podcast-hands/
As usual with the podcast, the strategy talk is second to none. I listen to a lot of poker podcasts, and these guys are really in the top echelon in terms of strategy, and it’s pretty funny to boot, especially when bigdogpckt5s and aznAllin007 are on.
This week we are treated to some discussion on some forum hands. They review a hand from “Bytie_nl” who flops top-top with AK in a $2 stars tourney, “danulam” posts a hand where he has KK early in the Sunday Million, and ”gwijnstra” wonders whether he has butchered QQ on the final table of the Big $109. So make sure you check out the forum threads as you follow along with the podcast, there is some great discussion in there.
Videos
This week we have four videos, all from different series. DannyN13 has two videos this week – the conclusion of his Big $162 final table hand history, and a short video showing the bubble stages of a TCOOP Hyper Turbo. We also get part 3 of Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace’s Merge 100k hand history review, and part one of a two part live sweat from bigdogpckt5s!
Pokerstars Big $162 Final Table Hand History Review with DannyN13 (Part 5 of 5)
Although we were just treated to a five part series from DannyN13, he returns to give us a short video on bubble play in Hyper Turbos. We sweat TCOOP event 19, which is a $215 $300k gtd Hyper Turbo, and a $51 Hyper which is part of the regular Sunday schedule. If you only have half an hour to spare and you would love to see some happy flippy times, check out this vid!
Merge 100k Major Win Hand History Review with Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace (Parts 1,2 of 6)
With his double-up at the end of part 3, Daryl now has a massive chance at a deep run. In part 3 we are well into the mid stages of the tourney, and we get more of the in-depth analysis we have come to expect from Daryl, including some combinatorics. The most interesting spot in the video is around 21 mins in when Daryl has TT, and there is also a pure ownage spot a bit later on where he 3bet ships the flop with air. Check it out
Bigdogpckt5′s Mixed Stages Live Sweat (Part 1 of 2)
It has been a little while, but everyone’s favourite pro Bigdogpckt5′s returns for a two part live sweat, and we get part one this week. We have a $109r and a $33 2r1a on Stars, and a $30r on Lock Poker. They are all at different stages in the tournament so we get to see the whole range of dynamics. The Lock tourney also features TPE’s own Killingbird, and Bigdog is on his direct left so there is sure to be some interesting spots. Copping a monster beat in the $109r doesn’t help, but he makes up for it with some rungood in the $33r.
Forum
This week “hawkeyeK9” finds himself in one of those spots that we have all found ourselves in early on in soft-field tourney, where the villain jams for some massive amount

“Mike_” also posts a very interesting hand where he lags it up a bit preflop and then flops huge. Really interesting spot.

A great way to keep in touch with your fellow TPE’ers is to follow them on twitter. To become part of the TPE twitter community, post your twitter handle in this thread, and don’t forget to follow everyone else!
There were a few member scores this week – “chip chimp71” has moved back to vegas at WSOP circuit time, and managed to make final tables in consecutive nights for around $1500! “terbet11” had his first four-figure score, shipping the $16.50 5k gtd on lock for $1300! He also made two other final tables in the same night, certainly an awesome effort. “arukidinme” final tables the Big $27 on stars which is a massive effort, and “feralcrab” final tables one of my personal favourite tourneys, the Typhoon on 888. “xandelas” has been saw-toothing his way through January, but you can tell a big uptick is right around the corner, so make sure you follow his progress.

Don’t forget to keep posting your scores, either as a sweat, brag, or progress thread. It is great to see other members do well.
See you at the tables!
