Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah Mixed Games Overview
In part 3 it is time for another game that not a lot of people would be familiar with, and that is Stud H/L. He does that by giving us a live sweat in a WCOOP satellite. Mike covers starting hand requirements and some good tips for beginner players, like keeping track of the up cards etc.
In part 4, Mike covers Razz, so for those of us that are great at NOT making hands, this is for you! Mike is excellent in explaining the general concepts behind all of these games, and I think this information alone would allow you to jump into a low stakes tournament and get your feet wet.
Sunday Million Replay Review with BourbonFTW
Part 2 continues with “shiptheflip” being the most aggressive person at the table and has taken the chip lead, but then loses it early after losing a huge flip. Early on it is down to 7 handed, so it is starting to get interesting. BourbonFTW does well to comment on the play in general, and what sort of range people would have, which is tough given the actual cards are shown the whole time. He also talks about bet sizing that allows other players to make mistakes, a lot of the players were making huge 3bets which just means that they will never get shoved on and so you are not allowing the villain to make a mistake. Part 3 continues 6 handed and there are some pretty interesting hands, especially with the dynamics in play given the pay jumps. There is a really cool spot where “shiptheflip” 3bets someone whilst they are talking about a deal, which BourbonFTW points out is the best spot to do it.

The best result this week I think was “Van H3Lzing” who managed to final table the Saturday Eliminator, but unfortunately finished 7th for $1.7k. Awesome effort to final table in such a massive field. “turbulence” continues his great run of scores, this time shipping the Lock $215 deepstack for $3750, and TPE founder and all round legend Killingbird gets back on the horse this week shipping a $500 gtd bounty on Lock!
