Articles
This weeks article is about the importance of experience in poker, it makes some very cool points about how many people don’t factor in how automating more basic decisions allows us to advance and focus on more difficult concepts.

TPE Member Turbulence Big 109 Win Hand History Review

Chris Moon does another Member hand history review, this time with the added twist that successful member Turbulence comes along for the ride in the series. The two of them make for very well thought out and interesting discussion. There are many difficult post flop spots and so far this series has been very game flow and post flop heavy in its analysis. There are also some extremely exploitable opponents on our table and Chris and Turb talk of how to best exploit them. Turb manages to build a decent stack and then that leads to an interesting discussion of taking marginal spots where damaging our stack really hurts us but gaining 10bb doesn’t really help us that much. Definitely a series worth watching!
TPE Theory: 3-Betting and 4-Betting

Daryl Jace finishes his very math heavy and conceptual on 3betting and 4betting, in part 4 he shows us some very interesting and counterintuitive ideas. Some of the gems were that blockers have almost no value facing a wide bluff range but increase in value as the value-air ratio increases. He also finds that blockers are most important when his range is half air. In part 5 Daryl summarises and recaps everything covered in the series and focuses on the key conclusions. Which are how different hands fare against different ranges, thresholds that make hands equivalent. Daryl presses how important being aware of how bluff heavy 3bet range is and shows how it opens ourselves up to exploitation in a lot of common spots. This is a great series for those who understand push/fold but aren’t as confident with their 3bet/4bet game.
Bigdogpckt5s Stars 1k win Hand History Review with Mark ‘dirpthong’ Herm

Big dog is back and bringing us a review of his Tuesday 1k win, he also has MTT legend dipthrong along for the ride, This series covers a lot of topics as there conversations jump subjects pretty quick, they cover their history together and a lot of background information. The first part largely covers early stages strategy, but Big dog builds a big stack and gets into a lot of postflop spots, he talks a lot about taking non standard lines and dipthrong and him discuss different possible lines preflop and which hands they prefer to open and why.
