Great stuff! I’m not getting how you use the term betting for thin value. In my head, that has always meant, how much will villain call when I am value betting the best hand. If my bet is too large villain is not likely to call. Yet, in Part 2 you are really putting the pedal to the metal with pot sized and over bets, knowing that villain will only call a small percentage of the time. Does thin value then mean that small percentage call? That is, when it happens you win a big pot and that is higher EV than enticing villain to call smaller bets more frequently. Thx, bc

Thin value just means betting for value with a weaker part of your value range. For example, if you’re playing against a calling station you can value bet thinner because you’ll get called by more weaker hands than against a different player.

Ok, so now having seen Part 3, I have a better understanding how you are using the term thin value — going for thin value is pretty much the opposite of what you would do if your range was polarized. Still. I am interested in your thoughts on my afforementioned question. bc
