very very impressive vid, one thing that would be helpful would just be putting up which potential turn card we are considering rivers for somewhere on the screen, bit easier to keep track of. content and delivery are A+
Immensely appreciating this effort Daryl, thank you for your efforts sir! I am soooo watching this!! @nocturnal1: So there is a max timeframe for poker thinking….! I guess if you only want to reach a certain level or being content where you are right now, it might be ok to not watch this series any further? Maybe after 4 hours of analyzing we might peel off even higher levels of beautiful insights? Lets try that! Who knows what we find out after a week… 🙂
i dont think you should watch this vid unless you are playing at least low and mid stakes to be honest. if you dont like that he takes an hour for 1 hand, then watch all the other videos first then come back to it. i personally loved it!
i mean this with all due respect, but please dont ever ever do a live sweat vid ever again, this and your previous theory vids are the best on the site!
Am i seeing things or is Daryl playing J8o?? Between 16:30 – 17:00 he says when a J comes he now beats 10’s, 9’s, 8’s & 7’s but then says oh he is already beating 7’s. Also Daryl says if a 9 or 10 comes on the turn he can value bet but wouldnt it be a bluff as he hasnt got a 9 or 10?? Am i missing something cause its confusing me
very nice Vid,but at the end of the day, what do you hope to do with a hand like J8o,in early stages 10/20 why stress over J8o,I would find a better spot, it’s a clear fold to me,
Great video Daryl. Question though. You mentioned earlier that he could be playing AX hearts. If he were a loose passive player, he could call down to the river, hit his flush and make an a-typical lead of only around half pot, expecting that you may have had a smaller pair trying to push him off, much like how you were evaluating him. Don’t you think?
Great content but I have to admit the delivery was a bit dry but I suppose that’s the nature of the subject matter. Obviously no one is going to go through all this every hand they play but the better and quicker you can do it the better player you will become. And when you are deep in a tournament and a lot of money is on the line then a short cut version in play of this type of analysis might be crucial.
Thought it was very thought provoking. It’s a hand I would never never have come over the top on the river but that is why the Gentleman making the video is where he is and I am where I am. I have, like, learned much from this vid, ya know. (just joking around aaaaaaaaa), for all those Negative Nancy’s out there, it’s tough making an informative video that’s not exactly a riveting subject. Great job dude!
Tough to get through due to the depth and my current level of play but I thought it was a great video and appreciate the time and effort you put in to explore every possibility. Great step in my education…thanks.
thank you very much for the time you spent to make this video. It helped me really. Because i am currently in a phase were i am thinking hand history, this is one of my favorite videos on TPE. It helps me a lot to become a better Poker player.
Oh sorry: By the way. Regarding some comments: I cant agree that it took to long or was boring. The whole series is all about not deciding in a live situation. It is about training yourself offline for gettting fast decisions better sorted.
I think: If i am able to think through a lot of possibilites offline, than i am able to pick some hidden cherries in a tournament situations. The reason: You automatically think about more options and you automatically include them into the real gameplay, even if it is just in the background.

Never thought i would enjoy going over a hand for an hour i must admit though that watching that was enthralling and i feel like much has been learnt.
Also thought the video was highly professional. Thanks again.

1 hour for 1 hand a bit ridic
duggs
you completely missed the point of the video then
nocturnal1
I do understand the point of the vid but to go on a hour about 1 hand is absolutely ridiculous
aaaaaaaaa
thx guys feel like this is the best series I ever done by far.
duggs
Its in no way redic, evaluating different possible streets and indepth range analysis is absolutely crucial.
And awesome

**Between 16:30 – 17:00 he says if a J hits the turn**
Thats what i meant to say

Ill check it later but from memory he is talking about potential rivers if we do turn a J, which rivers we can get value from on different turns.

Got bored and turned it off after 30 minutes. Tedious over-analysis of a simple situation imo, personally I won’t watching the rest of the series.
