Tournament Poker Edge pro Brendon "Brendooor" Rubie has won the opening event of the 2012 Aussie Millions. Rubie outlasted 946 other players in the $1100 buy in event which last 5 days (one day longer than expected).
The heads up battle was between Rubie and Scott Wilson, who appropriately started the final table with the two largest stacks. Rubie started the heads up match with a 2-1 chiplead and never gave it up, winning the gold ring in a rather one sided affair.
Rubie takes home AUD $200,000 and an Aussie Millions gold ring for his victory.
