sick vid,
KK hand, i dunno if this is right but i prob check back if there isnt a flush draw out there, we can get called for one street by 99-QQ and diamond broadways, so i prob bet flop, on 10c fold turn if he leads and check back if he bets, and fold river if he leads and sometimes bet river depending on runout.
im just checking back both streets and folding to any bet if a diamond peels
i think we get value owned a ton when we check back on this texture so im probably checking to fold to a turn bet and betting turn if checked to i guess.
Superb vids mate, imo they are easily better then some of the more experienced vid makers on the site. Love the amount of prep that you put in for each vid and it shows in the quality of it.
Keep up the good work!
Given Duggs took the lead preflop I like the bet on the flop to rep ace but would make bet little bigger as looks weak being less than pre flop 3 bet. What can opponent call 3-bet pre with out of position – even if has ace may be afraid of being out-kicked – if had AK or AQs probably would have 4 bet pre. If opponent folds to bet on flop then great happy to take pot down – if raises easy fold and if calls proceed with caution but as per above may fold at or aj for example on later stresses due to fear of being outkicked. Ace may be scare card for him too as may have jj or TT and if calls flop raise can check turn and re-evaluate? May need to pay off river for this reason but if they check turn I would discount ace as they would want to check-raise flop given baord or at very least bet turn to protect versus flush….
as played ck turn and hero call river a problem with the cb sizing is your going to get floated alot than poss bluffed off on the river if a diamond hits
On the KK hand I am c-betting the flop. I think that if he calls and the turn is 10c, then I am not barrelling. I am checking back on the turn and maybe calling one street if he leads out. I c-bet the turn to just take it down there and I assume he probably has an ace if he calls or 3bets. This might not be the best line, but I think if I don’t c-bet the flop then I am paying off more than necessary on the turn and river if he bets.
I think checking back the flop in the last hand is best. Unless they have a FD, which they will statistically have only about 10% of the time, this is a way ahead or way behind spot.
I think if we check back and he bets the turn, first you have to evaluate the bet sizing and timing, but I may be inclined to call a turn bet and evaluate on the river. If hew bets the river as well it’s a fold against most villains.
I’m definitely c-betting the KK. He has a lot of pocket pairs he was just set mining with and will auto-fold the flop, we win the pot, great result. If he check/calls I’m not putting any more money in unless I hit a K. Here’s my analysis:
If he check/calls, then I think he may have a few diamond draws in his hand, but honestly very few. It’s reasonable to assume he might have {KdQd, QdJd, JdTd, Td9d, 9d8d, 8d7d} but that’s only 6 combos of hands. Meanwhile he AQ/AJ and some AK in his flatting range…. if we assume he flats AK/AKs only 25% of the time (75% he 4bets pre), and account for the dead cards, that leaves him with 26 combos of Ax hands (I’m using Flopzilla for this which allows you to weight ranges, its very nice). In other words, 81% of the time when he does check/call we can assume he has a paired Ace or better. If you start including the possible 33 and 44, and even AA (which is certainly still in his range), that adds another 9 combos for a total of 35 Ace-or-better which represents ~85% of his check/calling range.
If he does have QQ, JJ or TT, I think his plan if he doesn’t spike a set is to check/call flop and just take it to showdown. Most people dont bet river with those hands because it would be kinda awkward/mergey and we still could have a weak ace in our range that we were 3betting pre because of the ‘blocker’.
One thing I dont like with checking back the flop is that he can bet solid twice with airballs and we dont know if he’s the type of player to do that. When we check back this flop its usually a weak Ax or a pocket pair and I dont like narrowing my range and turning it face up. It’s not that I think checking back is -EV, I just prefer c-betting with stacks these sizes. Checking back also polarizes our c-betting range to be a lot more nuts-or-air and I personally dont really like that either for a few reasons. Now… if you think your opponent has FPS and will put you in a weird spot just because he feels like it, then I like checking back more.
You would c-bet with every other hand on this board, so why not with KK? Doesn’t matter a ton what our hand is IMO, great flop for our perceived range and I would be happy to take it down right now with a bet. If called and checked to on turn I might bet again just so we can get to showdown rather than checking behind and having to call a bet on river, I think by us betting on the turn he is going to check most rivers.
IF I was the pre flop raiser I’m c-betting the flop. If I get called on the flop then barreled on a 10c turn, I would have to ask the question, “Do I have any history with the villain? LAG or TAG? maniac? Do I have any HUD numbers? What range is he representing? What range is he putting me on? Does he think my pre flop raise was just a button raise? Having said all that, since he didn’t 4-bet pre flop I don’t think he shows up with an Ace, probably a pocket pair or broadway cards like KQ or QJ giving him four to a straight or even a flush draw. I had to think about this for a while but I would call his bet into me. I fell I am still ahead.
last hand obvious check on flop since u never get called by worse and by checking might get one street of value later from pps!! VERY VERY surprised about all these crazy weird answers 😉
