Tournament Poker Edge, the premiere MTT training site, is excited to announce the addition of Andrew "foucault82" Brokos to their roster of pro instructors.
Andrew Brokos is a professional poker player, writer, and coach. Tournament highlights of his eight-year career include victory in a $2000 two-day FTOPS event, final tabling large-field no-limit hold 'em WCOOP and SCOOP events, and one of the most consistent performances in recent WSOP Main Event history. In seven years, Andrew has cashed five times in the main event and finished three times in the top 100.
Outside of poker, Andrew is an avid traveler and a passionate advocate for urban public education. Poker has given him the freedom to spend three years without a permanent residence, roaming first around the United States and then, after Black Friday, in Canada and Europe. Poker also made it possible for Andrew to found and volunteer for several years as the executive director of the Boston Debate League, a non-profit organization promoting competitive debate in Boston's public high schools.
"The folks at TPE have been great about working with me to find innovative ways to teach poker through videos, so I'm looking forward to producing some really interesting content with them," said Brokos.
Andrew's approach to thinking about and teaching poker is heavily theoretical and academic, but his background in education makes his videos accessible and helpful to all sorts of players. His poker blog and podcast can be found at ThinkingPoker.net.
Andrew's first series, a theory video focusing on hand reading, is available now.
