The Aqs hand (28:00), you’ve been playing reasonably tight and he three bets you in the small blind, doesn’t that scream strength? I could understand you jamming if there was some kind of dynamic of you opening lots of hands and him playing back at you but just not sure of your thinking in that moment, I’m glad you don’t try to justify it though, which I’ve seen other coaches try and do.

Hey Roguehood, my apologies for the late response. Looking back at that hand, I think I butchered analysis to a certain extent. Im not sure why I ever brought up 4b/f here as there isnt room for it given stack depth. Jamming and flatting are clearly the only viable options. I prefer flat-calling because we’re in position, keep some of his bluffs in that we dominate and obviously avoid getting snapped off when he has it. In retrospect, I dont think jamming is as big of a spew as I made it out to be given Villian’s sb 3bet % which i expect to be fairly balanced and well constructed, but still a spew. I’d certainly be very comfortable 4bet jamming 40bb here vs him. You bring up a good point about us having a tighter image so far at this table, but i don’t think it’s too big of a factor here, because i have a much larger sample playing against this villain and he would almost-certainly be referring to my overall stats to inform his decisions more so then how ive played a few orbits at an existing table.
