Well I returned back home on Friday and had a relatively busy weekend catching up on all of the things that I hadn't done while I was gone so I didn't get a ton of poker in this weekend. I did manage to sneak in a bit of a session last night and played some 10NL and 25 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw. For those who haven't diversified or haven't given it much thought, may I make a recommendation. Find a second game, learn it, think about it, play it. You will enjoy NLHE a lot more when you have something to counterbalance it. I have recently started to work on diversifying my game and playing a lot more PLO and to a lesser extent Stud. With the WSOP going on and like the junkie that I am watching and following everything I managed to get sucked into 2-7 Lowball as well. I have to tell you, haven't something else to learn has been a nice distraction and a really excellent boost to my NLHE game. Multitabling new games really makes your brain focus on the table at hand, the game/rules and what is going on. I have noticed that I am substantially sharper as I play when I have mixed games going on. Something to think about. The other little distraction I went on this weekend was to start playing some of the HU Super Turbo's. They are fun. It was a funny and a bit odd of a coincidence that BigDog's series debuted today, but I am glad for that. It is a really fun medium to play in, and if you want to talk about solid fishing all you have to do is get one hooked and you can really pound on that ATM 🙂 Other than that not much happening. I am planning to be back at the tables, going to play some more HU matches and who knows, may even sit for an MTT or two since I have the house to myself this evening.
