I figured I would slide a quick update in since I hadn't written in a couple of days and let everyone know how things have been going. I didn't play Saturday night or last night, but hopped on Sunday night for some of my standard tourneys and had a pretty good night. I ran pretty deep again in the Turbo 1r on AP (out in the 30 somethings) so I am feeling like another W is coming from there again soon and the Daily Double A was solid. I spent a lot of time at the table with fellow TPE reg Kuroshi which was interesting. We didn't really play may pots together (to be fair I was avoiding him a bit) so we were pretty chip neutral against each other (I think he was slightly ahead as he picked off a bluff of mine) but he did get to witness me go on an absolute aggressive tear against a table of fish. I ran into a bit of a cooler with 77<T8 when the guy turned an 8 on a very non-threatening board for 77 and I didn't range him correctly so I got beat there. I managed to recover to finish 303 (234 cashed) so I wasn't too upset, just resulted in some more homework for me. So what have I been doing away from the felt you ask, well in a nutshell, studying. I have been watching vids, looking at HH's and reading books a ton. I have been spending a lot of time reading cash game books and looking at really understanding value extraction, ranging and hand reading. I think these are absolutely invaluable skills and I am deficient in them to greater and lesser extents. I am looking to be back on the felt on Friday as I have class a couple of nites this week (I may sneak a couple of late tourneys in if time permits), but I will let you know what happens. This is the Gman signing out!
