I thought this was a semi funny, but useful topic to talk about today. First, I hope no one gets insults, this isn't my term, I didn't coin it, but I found it funny and the more that I thought about it, the more it made sense. So what does this term mean and how does it apply? Well here is the back story on it. My brother and I were playing $1/$2 at Caesar's in Atlantic City during the WSOP-C in March the day after the tourney and there were two guys who sat down and filled our table. It was a 9 handed table at like 11:30am and both guys were sauced (not really a surprise for AC). We started playing and things were pretty quiet, one of the guys was a total tool and getting cleaned out, the other guy even though he was pounding down mixed drinks was still keeping it together. He had half a dozen hands get to a HU showdown and each time it was a TP hand and he outkicked the opponent. The last guy to get beat by this made some stupid comment about card racks (can't remember quite what it was at this point) and our drunk friend turned around and looked him right in the eyes and said "Deep stack play is all about the man hands. Can't play alice cards like you sir, I only play man hands.". I'm not sure what was funnier the actual comment or the stunned look on the other guys face. It is something that has stuck with me. There is a lot of wisdom in there if you think about it in general, not just for cash or deep stack play. I encourage you to go back through your database, take a look and understand if you are habitually getting outkicked. There is a lot of money to bleed there if you aren't careful. Something to thinking about 🙂

Quick update, went to Delaware Park last night for some live fun, and managed to play 2 whole hands of $1/$2 NLHE when to my delight they opened a $1/$2 PLO game. $500 in profit later the Gman strolled out of the casino pretty happy. I'm headed back Thursday night, probably to play some NLHE but trying to get up another buyin or so. Other than that nothing happening. GL to all who are playing both live and online. This is the Gman signing out!
