First I'll start off by saying I am going to make a slight tweak to my new goal, instead of trying to Step to the WSOP through AP, I am going to use FTP and Stars as my battleground for this challenge. I spend 6 hours and only got into 3 Step 1's on AP, so I consider that a slow crawl through the dreggs, combining that with Cougars4444's advice decided a new direction was in order. I did fire up several on Stars last night and I managed to play 3 while other things were going on and I had tired of waiting around on AP and managed a 4th, 3rd and 6th. My net for the effort was one free Step 1 ticket and $1.50. Going to get into trying to play them hard over the weekend since things should be quiet at home. On that note I also played the Super Stack 15k last night which resulted in another near cash, annoying but not devastating and a 63rd place finish in the $35,000 GTD on FTP. I was on the fence about the shove I made that crippled me and after talking about it some with the rail and looking back at it in my HEM replay, I hate it. I ended up 3bet shoving 20bb into QJdd into QQ and losing. That isn't the part that bugged me, unfortunetly I missed the clue that the player who did this had been raising a lot of hands over the prior couple of orbits, however this time rather than min raise he made it a full 3x. I had noticed and picked up that the player on the left of this particular villain had done this, but I missed this guy doing it until after it was all over. Lesson learned, gotta make sure I am paying more attention. Other than that nothing was going on. I am off the tables for the next two nights with a triumphant return Friday where I will be looking to start a more earnest effort in the Step Tourney play, so stay tuned for a weekend update on progress there. Next week is also a bit of an exciting week for me, I am getting back together with Wein for a couple of sessions. I am turning my Sunday Million score into some well worth it coaching to help work on the critical mid stage game and to help me understand how to better adjust to the aggressive LAGy image that I seem to be developing now. Stay tuned! This is the Gman signing out.
