Hello TPE NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's your ole buddy Meta here with a TPE Blog update for everyone. I will break this blog into two sections for today, a personal life update and an online poker update so just skip to the online poker update unless you are incredibly bored! lol
Personal Life Update: Again I apologize for not being able to update this blog much recently but I did start a new job a few weeks ago and it's been taking up a lot of my time.
I have been transitioning into my new role as an Inventory Control person very nicely, and I'm getting my work done with more and more time to spare each day now so I must be catching on fast!!!. My direct manager and her boss told me many times so far that I have been doing an excellent job and they are very excited and happy to have me join their team. On a side note, I am already making more at this job than I did at my old job, and I was there for just about 2 years LOL. Another great thing about this company is that there is a lot of room to move up and advance within the company which is very exciting…oh and the BEST PART ABOUT THIS JOB IS THAT THERE IS NO ON CALL BULLSHIT..Once Friday 5:00PM hits I'm out of there until Monday morning..thank god…It's so nice to have my weekends (and weeknights) all to my self again.
Online Poker Update: I have had a pretty decent start to 2011. I have only been playing Micro/Low stakes MTT's right now because I'm trying to follow very strict bankroll management guidelines. With only $200-300 in my Full Tilt Account, I have been playing a lot of these "On Demand" $2.25 tournaments. An On Demand Tournament is a tournament that starts when 30 players are registered and late registration only lasts for 3 levels of play so you end up playing MTT"s with field sizes of about 400 players or less, which is great for me because I normally don't have 6-8 hours to invest in a very large field tournament (except for weekends). I have had a bunch of deep runs and a few final tables and actually TOOK ONE DOWN a few days ago for $200.00 (which is a decent ROI on a $2.25 buy in). I really like these tournament because the field is very soft and you get to make a a lot of cashes and deep runs which should help with my late game / end game play. It did feel pretty great to actually WIN an MTT as it's been quite a long time since I actually WON something.
Anyway that's all for now. Keep in touch and GL at the tables guys!!
