Well I am writing this entry just after busting the Sunday Million 5th Anniversary in 1563rd out of 59k runners AJ<A7 for a 20bb stack and a good position in the tourney to DaMurdera. It was a dynamite run with an awesome rail from my ADAG brethren. It makes all the difference to hit a nice score with a nice rail and a ton of support from a great group of players. It makes a huge difference to my play to have the support of such an awesome group of players. TTwist spoke about not being on a poker island in his last podcast and it is absolutely the truth. You can't be a one man show, it just doesn't work. I don't care how much you study, how much you review and observe, it just won't cut it. You need players who have a high degree of skill and ability and you need to be able to be open and honest with each other. If you can't do that, you aren't going to improve. Simple as that. So other than being a little bummed right now, I thought that I would wrap up AC a bit for everyone. It was a fantastic time. My brother and I drove down on Wednesday morning and met up with xxsosickxx and FkCoolers. Event #1 was a bit of a challenge for me to get started in. It was the biggest live event I have ever played in with 742 total runners. My brother didn't have such great luck in the tourney having his AA, KK and AK crushed in three straight hands. He ended up out right around the first break, but fear not, he hit the $1/$2 table at Caesar's and went ballistic crushing back the buyin and a bunch more. I ended up playing and busted somewhere between 120-130 12+ hours after it started 99<KK. I felt really good about how I played, just didn't quite get there. Had an awesome time meeting Wein and RFB and P-aire. Really great guys and hanging out Wednesday night was a real blast. A few beers, some poker war stories and just some general relaxation with some really cool fellas was well worth it. Was painful to see RFB go out in 83 with 81 paying, but he played well so it was fun nonetheless. Thursday was a pretty straightforward day, a bunch of poker players in AC, we hit Borgata and did some damage at the poker tables again. I got ruffed up a bit when I got stacked on a KK<87o hand, but I made a big mistake when I paid off a min-reraise on the river, but hey, can't play perfect for forever. The table for most of Thursday evening was filled with local AC $2/$5 regs so it was a tougher game, but I really enjoyed it. Well, i'm going to go an enjoy the tilt at the moment and try to go to bed and relax for a bit reading a book before I have to go back to work and end my poker vacation. All in all a $1k cash to close out the week isn't something I can complain about. What you gonna do. Well this is the Gman signing out! Gl to everyone in the Mini FTOPs and I'll see you all in the ME!!
