Nice starting to a series, I actually like two players reviewing handhistorys more than monologue vids:D This one ´s pretty informative.

Good video guys! I have a question about the 66 hand on the J high flop w 2 more under cards to our pair. That’s a spot where I would typically check raise. It seems like a spot where a J is a pretty small part of his range… Pairs 77-99 could also be in there. But I feel like any call we get our equity is gonna be pretty thin against anyways… Is this terrible? I don’t mind flat either.. I just feel like it allows more bluffs on later streets since were oop.
The other hand was I think the last one w A6cc… A hand I would typically raise to ISO… Seems like an easy hand to play post flop if we only get UtG calling and as it played out it, w the shoves behind it turns into an easy fold. Just curious on thoughts why raising was least liked by Cody..??
Can’t wait to watch the rest of the series. Cheers guys!
Carlos
Can you tell me where the 66 hand is? I’ll take a look at it again.
In the A6s hand, we have a tight 14/3 player limping UTG from a 10bb stack. This looks trappy which is why I didn’t raise. Nowadays I just fold in this spot. If he had more chips, a looser limping range, and was in later position, I would raise to iso as a default.

Right… I agree… Now let’s say this happens (same thing) 10bbs open limps UTG and were in CO or BTN? Still folding? I feel like we still have a bunch of fold equity. Someone playing 14/3 I really don’t think understands they’re doing this, and is never gonna be inducing here w AA KK QQ here… That’s why he has pfr of 3%. Because he raises those… So are you just folding this from BTN?
Carlos
I think I would. The key for me here is his position, not mine. If I was on the BTN and he was in the CO as opposed to UTG, then I am more likely to play this hand against him. Also, A6s is much easier to fold for me then A5s would be. I may not be disciplined enough to let go of one that can make 2 draws.
