Another great series from one of TPE’s best Pros!

Well done for trying something new – Live content is certainly something I’d like to see more of. Clearly it takes preparation before the tournament to get yourself in a position to record hands somehow for review and write-up later. Would love to see some like this from the other Pro’s from Vegas this summer!

One small suggestion would be to build the table and hands in something like pelopoker (like Carlos did on his early posts in Carlos’s Cash Catastrophes post) or just draw a table and circles with stacks sizes. I struggled a little with who was where and with what stacks…giving them names may also help as tables break and you move around. By the final table I’d got it but to be able to visualise would be better in my opinion.

That said there is something to performing a HH review without a re-player. It was almost like a merged HH and Theory vid – The preparation on the K9 hand was great – another thing that could be adopted for other HH reviews for big hands where detail calculations are required…BUT….requires preparation and dedication…..Andrew raising the bar!

Thanks and Well done again for trying something new and lacking on TPE.

Very UL with the exit hand . I would have called THAT player with AJ there. I would have folded the K9s in the BB pre flop.

At 25 min hand with K9s you have around 18bb when you make a call on Big Blind. Isn’t your stack too shallow to make such call, but rather fold/shove? And how would you proceed if you happen to hit a K instead of a 9? It seems that we can get dominated a lot and at the same time with such short stack it would be hard to fold K if we manage to hit that.

Pot odds. A short stack is LESS of a reason to worry about domination. You don’t have to worry about getting away from your hand if you make a pair of Kings. You’ll have the best hand often enough that you can profitably commit your stack. I think folding K9s getting great odds to see a flop is a pretty big mistake.

Thanks Andrew – very much enjoyed this. Hope we can see a few more videos on live poker in 2016. I took a hell of a lot from this series and it would be great to get more live tournament content on TPE from you or the other pros.
