Great video! In the beginning you mention the 109 being softest on mondays and fridays? Why is monday so soft i assume most recreational player are working mondays and you will have alot of regs on monday-thursday.I would think saturday is more soft than monday and sunday the softest although its a much bigger field sundays.. Anyways looking forward to more content from you, good stuff!!

Thanks for the question and I’m glad you’re enjoying the video series so far! I can’t prove this without studying a large player pool of regs and their results on Monday and Friday vs the rest of the days in the week over a large sample, but Monday and Friday tend to have the smallest player pools, which is good for shot-taking because there’s less variance. Saturday is a good day to play for sure, but I think a lot of regs (especially top regs) take Monday off because Sunday is such a long, stressful grind. The player pools on Friday also tend to be a bit softer as a lot of regs also seem to take this day off probably because a lot of them want one night off to go out on the weekend and Saturday and Sunday have more attractive prize pools. There’s plenty of European recs and other people from around the world that play the main schedule after work during the week. So, I couldn’t say for sure, it’s just based on my own observations.

Aha yeah everything you said there makes total sense there i agree 🙂 Also I have seen 4 parts so far and really like the content 🙂 For future videos however i would suggest spending less time on obvious fold spots and just click through faster. No need to spend time on spots where it`s a super standard fold due to many factors. Just try speeding it up overall in general cause it can be a bit too slow. Better spend that time on close/interesting spots. It might just be me who like it that way though. However the content is great, keep em coming 🙂

I hear ya pokkerheller. Glad you’re enjoying the vids and thanks for the suggestion. I’ll work on that for my next series!

I really like how this started at the shove fold stage, and I like the amount of hands discussed and which ones you are folding due to them not being suited, or the position being not quite good enough.

Thanks for the comment kondor! I appreciate the feedback.

great first vid Jase
I want to attract your attention to your late position shoving range from BU, which seems too loose according to NASH even when adjusting for tighter calling range if we have weak player in SB. I’m more of a turbo player so this really hit me, you might want to re-work on those ranges or let me know what you think
For example:
#1 I must disagree with you saying at 19:40 that it’s ok to shove 64o in BU 10bb deep. It is a -0.48bb shove according to NASH. We can shove profitably 45.0%, 22+ Ax+ K2s+ K5o+ Q4s+ Q9o+ J6s+ J9o+ T6s+ T9o 96s+ 85s+ 75s+ 64s+ 54s.
#2 same at 26:55. I think we are too loose even adapting for tighter calling range of the SB as not a reg (NASH/slightly tighter for BB as reg). in NASH 97o is -0.22. Even decreasing SB calling range from NASH 25% to 15%, 97o is still -0.10bb. Let me know your thoughts but I think this is a fold
# 32:30 any one face card on BU shoving is way too loose. J5o is -045bb EV and still -EV vs tighter calling ranges
