Have a question about the 89o hand near the end… Why dont you bet the flop yourself?

I sometimes limp in from the sb myself if the bb is passive and calls raises often, but is not agro. My plan is to 1.3x bet the flop on like 80% of boards. I get away with this move a lot and its less high varience then raise/cbet.

When villain has nothing, he will often bet there, you often gonna float oop then?

thomas – a lot of the time i will just lead there expecting a lot of folds. at that point however i decided to check , expecting him to just check back most of the time and leading turn. most of the time if he bets flop, he has nothing and is a low level thinker trying to take the pot away from me thinking i would bet that flop if i had something i limptrapped with. so he assumes i have nothing but he has no showdown value himself. getting him to bet is actually +ev for us if we can call and bet river and win most times.

Thx for the reaction. I understand your point and why you feel a check is better in this spot. Still not sure about it tho, seems rather high varience to call a bet there oop with rather shallow stacks, but I might try it when the situation seems right.

wp .. I think that this could have been a 2 part video .. you seem to rush through some spots and not really explain why you are doing it. plus, sometimes I can’t even make out the stacksizes of the guys behind you before the end is over and you switch to the next hand 🙂

    great video though.

when you say stuff like: i think i can shove this from button but not from the highjack. what is the reason for that?
Is it from experience or do you do any math on it or whatever?

what tournamnets are you suppose to just shove all hands? How shallow should they be? or what is the reason for just shoving so many hands? (other reason then that they fold alot?)
