Hi, welcome to TPE! I probably have the most cash experience of any of the instructors here (in face I think we’ve played a bit of Zoom together, though I only play on Stars a few times a year), so you’d probably find my videos a useful place to start as I might come closest to discussing hands in ways that will be familiar to a cash game player. I often advise people to start with my more theoretical videos, but if you’re holding your own at 500Zoom, they might be beneath you, so maybe just start in on some HH reviews. My current series is from a $2K, and I have some other reviews of larger buy-in events as well.

Honestly, if you are beating 200Zoom already, you should have no trouble moving to tournaments. You just need to get accustomed to paying more attention to stack sizes, stealing and defending wider because of antes, and getting comfortable in push/fold situations, which a tool like Hold ‘Em Resource Calculator can help you with.

Please post some hands when you get a chance, I’d be very curious to see what sorts of tournament spots pique your interest!

Take care,

Andrew
