TPE Nation this is the one you have been waiting for. The number one request we have gotten from members is to create a better way to organize our content. Today, TPE is proud to announce TPE University. It's a learn and study as you go program that will help you get navigate through all of the best content that Tournament Poker Edge has to offer. With TPEU you will have step by step structure and curriculum that allows you to progress at your own pace and easily set goals that will have you crushing mtts like the bigdog in no time.
Each course consists of videos, forums posts, articles, podcasts to serve as your go to guide to using our site and becoming TPE certified. We will help you track what you have watched and even offer a quiz at the end of each course if you want to take it. And, if you complete all the courses you'll get something cool from TPE to signify that you are TPE Certified.
We expect to have this up and running on the site within a few weeks. But in the meantime we wanted to start sharing the content with existing members so they can take advantage of the organization immediately and get your feedback. Over the next few weeks we will be releasing each 1 of the 7 steps to the program (as well as some electives) here to you guys first before they go live on the site.
These are not set in stone. We want your feedback. The content elements we have chosen are the ones that have been consistently ranked highly by the community but we want to hear your opinions as well.
Here are our first thoughts on the seven steps, along with a few elective ideas we have had. As each step is developed I will create a post for it in this forum.
Step 1 – Getting Started at TPE
Step 2 – Early Stages
Step 3 – Mid Stages
Step 4 – Late Stages and Final Tables
Step 5 – Game Selection and BR management
Step 6 – Key Skills For Success
Step 7 – Advanced MTT Play
Electives (3-betting, Aggression, Position, Hand Reading, Math, ETC)
Thoughts?
I'd also like to announce that ttwist has been named GM/Community manager for TPE and will be leading the charge on TPE U. He's the man when it comes to this and will be working closely with our community to make it the best it can be.
Thanks for your feedback!

I think it's a great way to organize your learning curve as a poker player. I do think some extra steps should be implemented. Looks pretty damn promising though if it can structure teaching mtt's.
Step 1 – Getting Started at TPE
Step 2 – Poker fundamentals and teaching methods
– basic poker math
– study methods (video about effectively studying videos, how and what to know.. pause video, act and then see what instructor does etc)
– game concepts
Step 3 – Early Stages
Step 4 – Mid Stages
Step 5 – Late Stages and Final Tables
Step 6 – Game Selection and BR management
Step 7 – Key Skills For Success
Step 9 – Advanced MTT Play
Further I'd add an (up to date) video with available software as this is where a lot of improvement comes from other then watching videos/coaching/forum.

just my opinion: yes I watched it and it is a really good serie,I learn many things but more a user guide of HEM 2, with some examples of reports, that's right but my thought was more a deep leak finding with like for example taking a anonymous database and perform the leaks finding from scratch. how you can proceed from the very beginning and step by step go deeper in order to tackle leaks. I know that should be a huge work with many concept involved. Each time I have tried it, I became lost in all datas and wondering which filter to use. Example: I saw that I win much more on CO than Button (double bb/100 in CO vs BU), once I try to find out why, I can very easy be lost to find the best way to don't miss the real problem and if it was a real problem! call too much resteal? too loose? too tight? or anything else. was the second step after position is to check by hand type, by stack size, or anything else
I don't know if I am clear hope yes 🙂 if it is not so clear request, it means leak finding it is a hard work for me 🙂 and so I need help trought TPE!

I think it is an awesome idea. I am a member for about a year and I really love it. Sometimes a little bit active on the forum… a huge fan of the video’s… but structurize all the data around topics makes it much more easy to find what one is looking for.
I’m going to follow it, want to be TPE certified for sure 😉
Do you think it is possible to add an extra course (or maybe more) on the adjustments due to rebuy MTT’s or especially adjustments due to Turbo’s. I am sure this could be found in the video section but gathering info about these adjustments in a specific lesson would be a +, unless of course these adjustments are understood to play a role in the “step 9”-lesson “Advanced MTT play”.
Nice work guys!

Good work guys, looking forward to it.
I'd like to see something in the fundamentals covering small stakes/micro specifically and how to adapt some of the principles for these types of games. I find that some of the videos demonstrate elements that just dont work at low/micro stakes as the players, in general, are so much poorer.
Cheers
Hello nation, well it looks as if the heavy lifting is complete and its now time for the programmer to spin his magic we have put together what we believe will help all navigate through all of the best TPE content very easily and at the end you get reconized for your efforts How fun is that? With 7 compulsory steps and 9 electives (which you will need to complete 7 of the 9 electives to be TPE certified) you will be on your way to crushing MTTs around the globe. Tentativly TPEU is over 420 hours of top quality Content and will be up and fuctioning very soon. Thx all for your patience and keep the comments and ideas coming because something like this is never complete.

just another comment – It would be cool if there was some sort of way you could keep track of how many people are TPE certified. then they could get a special Forum title or something like that.
not sure how you could stop people just saying they hvae done it when they havent though

Is it ready to start? Will I be tracked or will we have to submit progress reports or something so we can be tracked?
hey JJ we are in the process of completing the Quizzes that correspond with each step, passing the quiz with a certain minimum % is the criteria for becoming TPE certified what you see here in the forum is just the rough outline for the programmer to build the final product, im glad that your as excited as we are and look forward to getting you on your way to certification

So if I start, by the time I finish the first step the quiz should be compiled?
no this is just kind of a sneak peak preview of what TPEU will look like from a ciriculum point of view and to take ideas and feed back from the tpe nation. We are currently working on the completion of all the related quizes but are still a couple weeks away from them being finished

At about 1 video a day during the week and maybe two on the weekends, it will take a couple weeks to finish at least the video parts.
But I do love the idea.
Maybe at the end have a full blown exam as well. Making the certification really mean something.

Any word on how far from launch? I realize I can get a jump on the curriculum…but would be cool with it up and running with the quizzes. Super pumped for this as it fits my style of learning perfectly.
it is now in the final steps with programmer and they are setting the program for test runs now and we hope it will be ready for launch in 2 weeks provided the test runs go according to plan.
