You guys have something pretty awesome brewing here. Podcast was excellent just as the first was. Love listening to them. Can't wait for the next Sticking it to the Man series now either 🙂

This was a great episode. I have really been thinking about bet sizing compared to what your stack is and want to try it in my game.

There's def no other poker podcast with this type format.

Great job again, guys. Really made me think of specific hands I've played over the last few days where my betsizing could

have been much more efficient.

Nice. I liked the shout out for the TPE League at the end, too.

Always funny to have to hear someone say “PottyTrainMe” on a podcast haha…

And you can hear that in the podcast which makes it funnier. You definitely pause and try to not laugh when you see the name you need to read off.

Awesome.

One thing about the discussion that “treat a min donk bet like a check” — I hear this a lot but the point is that sometimes there's a reason they are doing it instead of checking so being able to figure that out can help define their range instead of just “ignoring” it.

I think the point is that until you see otherwise you should treat it more as a sign of weakness than strength.

A lot of people play sets straightforward and flat the flop and then raise the turn. Far fewer lead into you with a set.

It's more indicative of draws and hands like middle or bottom pair who want to “see where they are at”.

My standard line is to raise them and then make a note on the hand and any other action which occurred.

Yep, I agree, until you know otherwise it's generally a weak pair or draw.

I really liked the bet sizing discussion, I think it could be expanded on in future podcasts.

I agree about adjusting your open raise sizing based on stack sizes…I don't see why you'd want to do anything else really.

One other thought: I loved the bet size discussion but there are exceptions of course. One instance would be when you have a strong made hand vs a fish whose range strongly is leaning towards a draw. If you bet smallish on the turn to set up a pot sized river bet you lose value when you have a fish who is calling almost any turn bet size anyways but folding all rivers when he misses his hand.
