On this edition of the TPE Podcast Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek and Marc “AznAllin007” Alioto join us to talk poker tournament strategy. We also welcome Marc to the TPE family and talk to him a little about his poker background.

Another GREAT podcast!!
Was some really interesting conversations in there. One thing that made me think was that Casey thinks 5-6x is good early in a tournmanent. But he also says something like.
If you 3x later in a tournament you must be a idiot.
But my thought about this topic is; why is it good (or can be good) to 5-6x early but only 2x later? I understand what Casey talked about that he is really tight early and that he gets allot of value that way.
But why cant that be good later in a tournament? Is it because early EVERONE has around 100BB? If that is the answer then it most be good to be 5-6x later in a tournament if everyone around the table is 100BB deep. What is wrong what how i think?
Maybe you can take this in the next podcast if its to hard to talk about in the forum.

Edit: of couse antes is the main thing that makes it better to minraise. But still. can you talk some more about this =)
Just like to welcome marc to tpe it was another good podcast and interesting discussion about the merits of min raising that mike does and raising like 4 or 5 x that cpt bigdogs does. Very funny and very well explained as usual keep it up guys great entertainment along with great education.

marc and bd have really a great dynamic together, i also really enjoyed the latest SITTM with em
& i really hope the 2 will make another vid together sometime soon (maybe a ft hh review)
