On this edition of the the TPE podcast bigdogpckt5s joins us once again, accompanied by ttwist to talk about playing hands in and out of position early in tournaments, as well as giving insightful analysis of the key hands of the WSOP Main Event Final Table.

Great podcast guys!  Thank you for reviewing my hand 4heart5heart.

 …..ast-hands/

For the record I didn't slow roll the guy – I was actually thinking fold.  Actually I was thinking FML this a-hole has T9…

I'm only to the hand review section but great stuff so far, easily the best poker podcast out there.

I disagree with TTwist that Cheong flatting a 3bet OOP with A7o and “trying to play small ball” would be a better option than 4betting. Or doing what he did. You can't really play small ball oop against an aggro opponent in a 3bet pot when even though they have a lot of chips stacks aren't THAT deep.

I believe Mizrachi mucked K8ss (top pair) in the Candio hand. Good arguments for both sides, as Candio could easily have had the nut flush draw that made a wheel on the river, but great point by Casey about how even though he's been tight he's still played the hands he's been in really really fast. On the ESPN3 broadcast the first hand Cndio played he 3bet bluffed big pre and showed a seven and then the second hand he had AA

Regarding the QQ 3-bet OOP hand from the podcast, one thing that didn't get mentioned is preflop sizing, only squeezing to 3x there seems small against a raise and a caller, this almost ensures we're going to see a 3way pot OOP with a strong but vulnerable hand putting us in lots of tricky spots. If its heads up I don't mind the sizing as much but with another caller that could be dead money out there I think you need to pop this bigger 100bb deep.

Finished the podcast, great stuff.

I'm baffled as to why we would even consider folding JTss on the button to a single 2.5x or whatever raise that deep. I mean if we're not playing that hand there, what are we playing? Our range us THAT tight, even early? We have position and can cause so many problems…this must be my cash game mentality.

Just finished listening to the podcast, great stuff guys – loved it. I know you are all busy but wish you could do more. They are the perfect companion on my morning beach walk where I try to think about my play in general – it's far better to listen to you guys talking about plays. A request for the future, would love to hear more about playing in the blinds when deep in tournaments, seems to be a really big leak of mine. Going to check the vids to see if something can help me start to plug this leak.

Keep up the great work – entertaining as well as very informative.

Great podcasts and hand analysis. Any thoughts on posting the podcasts to “stitcher”. I like listening to podcasts on my droid, but the present podcast platform on TPE does not work well on my phone.
