I read Carlos comment in the thinking poker podcast July 2015 with guest Dave O’Kearney and how refreshing it was to hear him speak as opposed to being stuck at a table in Vegas with Cory Waayland and Phil Laak.  I could not agree more  This waayland guy never shuts up. blah blah blah . I would hate to be in the company of this guy because you would never get a word in edgewise . His theory of thinking bink and staying positive at all times is the key to becoming a great poker player is a bunch of hog wash. This obsession with # 23 Michael Jordan gets on my nerves as well. Yes Jordan was a legend on the court but he could also be an asshole on the court as well. Case in Pt. Early on in his career he told his teammates not to pass the ball to Bill Cartwright. When word got out to Cartwright about this selfish move on Jordans part, Cartwright pulled Jordan to the side and told him “If you ever tell them not to pass the ball to me i will break both your legs”.  Ya know what he deserved it

Well, I think you are wrong about the Jordon thing.  There’s a reason why Michael said that to Bill.  Michael’s want & desire to win is next to known.  I’ll agree that he shouldn’t have said that about Bill.  But lets be honest, Michael won a lot of games and his numbers stand alone.  If Bill Cartwright was a better player or not having a bad game, maybe Michael doesn’t make the comment.

The other things you said about Cory, I’ll leave to others but I would sit next to him any day and learn how he’s won 7 rings.  The kid has a positive outlook on life and other things.  Maybe you should talk to him about that.  Espcially after some of your postings about poker and hating it.

P aire  why oh why do you always take the contrary attitude whenever i have a biased opinion about  someone or for that matter anything PERIOD!  I am sure i am not the only one that feels that way its just that others like you  are too wimpy or afraid to be controversial out of fear you might step on a fellow TPE member toes. Please save the patriotism  it  starting to wear on me

lol, I thought you were DONE with TPE.  Lets us know how the poker is going?  So you decided to pick on the guy who just won his 7th WSOPC ring….  lol   While you are complaining about the daily $50 poker timbeys in AC.  Yea, ok.  Who you going to talk shit about next?  Why not going after Joe McKeehan?  He’s a complete monkey.  Only won the WSOP Main last year and a few other timbeys in the past.  You playing anywhere in AC this weekend?  Would love to see how you punt in the daily’s.

Isn’t that how it works? I’m no debate champion like one of us is, but this seems to be a good basic strategy.

We all have something to offer everyone. Everyone has something to offer us. I’m happy that Cory was able to find peace with himself, and if he had to become born again to do it, good on him. Life may be a journey, but it’s about the destination. Anyway, Cory’s not even on the podcast, so I don’t get how this came up.

Anyway, I’m 2/3 of the way through the TPE podcast and like always I wish there were more. Hearing the hosts and guests discuss the WSOP helps me anticipate it more and affirms my decision to come back again this year. Diego needs to play in the bounty event. That much should be table stakes. He’s the TPE pro when it comes to WSOP bounty events 🙂 And Derek, I would totally create a tag team team with you on it.

Speaking of which, the line about the online tournament being an unofficial tag team event was the best I’d heard. (“Spoilers?” You should have listened by now anyway.)
