Rules are:
1.8 players picked via snake draft system.
2.If you havent picked in 12 hours your turn gets missed and you can take your turn ASAP after that
3. Everyone is in for $20 with cash to be sorted out later
4. Scoring system is total money cashed
5. One drop tourney DOES NOT COUNT. all other WSOP tourneys are fair game.
6. it is up the the individual to check their results and they will be independently verified

i am in, timezones might be difficult for the draft, but other than that i think it would be fun
that would be cool if you could research some formats. in fact, it would be helpful if we had someone to run this thing. which would basically just mean keeping score. I'm just worried about my abilities to do it well while playing live tournaments all summer every day. So if anyone is interested in keeping score, let me know!

cant pick the same players. It would be snake draft style. randomly select order and then go in that order. Last person gets two picks in a row…so it would go 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3…
keep going like that until everyone has 10 players.
ok guys…I will keep score, but for simplicity sake we will indeed just score using total dollars cashed for and maybe we will draft fewer people. How about 8 players each?
When would be a good time of day and day of week for you guys to draft? I guess worst case we could do it here in the forums, but would obviously be quicker in the chat room.

One way to do it would be to see if there is going to be a high roller fantasy league this year and for people to not pick individual players but draft the teams already picked by the high rollers, with multiple people picking each team, and then you dont need to keep track of scoring since they will be doing that. Otherwise it might be easier to just do a draft for the main where its easier to track, but still takes time. Or we could limit the players to those drafted in the high roller and we can do totals ourselves for each team. With that you could allow some overlap of duplicate players, for example a player could get picked 3-4 times, but not allow multiple duplicates between teams.
Last year we did a main event draft, there was a list of 200 pros and we allowed write ins. After we picked our teams and I did a couple of “must win” main event bets, one friend had picked Phil Collins, that was a hell of a sweat. When he sucked out at the FT I started cussing at the TV, then when he busted I felt better, good fun 🙂
I'm in… something to consider is if we draft this early and something happens to the player & doesn't play is there a consolation pick or tough titty! I have a laundry list of semi-pro/amateurs that I think wil make deep run this year!

id vote for no consolation players. adds to the strategy of picking. Like obviously Ivey is normally a solid pick, but what if he ends up not playing at all or paying one event?
also, I think we should exclude one drop from the pool as that will obviously scew the results with a win and not a ton of people will be playing that. but I like the idea of doing a seprate one for one drop.
Love to hear everyone elses thoughts on leaving One Drop out of the results.

I'll compile a list of everyones picks at the end of the draft, but it might be useful for you to do the same as the draft goes on so you are not picking people who have already been picked.

p.s. we will play for $20 each. Winner takes all. I don't want to deal with collecting money and im not sure who can get paid how (some have stars, some dont…some have paypal some dont) etc. most everyone here is fairly long term or well known member of TPE, so I'm gonna trust everyone to pay up at the end. The winner can let the rest of us know how he wants to be paid and we'll work it out. We are all big boys.
