Even though my trip is a couple of months away, I am working through trying to setup a plan of studying before hand to ensure that I am a well oiled machine when I sit down at the tables. Let me give you a little background on my current situation.
I live in NW Oregon where we do have “social clubs” that allow us to play some live poker, however due to certain circumstances, I am unable to play live around where I live. That means, I am focusing on books and videos with some online play. I am using my online play to try to understand what I see in the videos and read in books. I am also setting extremely specific goals for the week that I am in Vegas. I feel goal setting is paramount to my success in tournaments. While I always include winning the tournament as a goal, I also include subsets of that main goal as well.
I would be interested in knowing how you are planning or if you are doing any planning at all. Thanks for all input!
