My roommate is playing the 1k PLO so I’m at Rio for today. The games are very good.

Guys be careful w/ ur MONEY.  An east coast pro, Manh Nguyen had money stolen from his room.  Watch where you put your money.

I thought casinos had safety deposit boxes. I have been wondering how does one get a box like this at a casino? how much do they charge?

was told it is $100 + $100 deposit for a box.  Not a bad idea if you are holding a lot of cash.

I'll start my 26 hour long adventure from the middle of the arctic (Where it snowed today) to the middle of the desert tomorrow morning! Should be in Vegas by 11AM thursday, and either passed out at the pool or neck deep in chips by mid day. Haven't decided which yet.

So my first WSOP experience overall was a good one.  Busted Milli early, bubbled the 1k the next day, (204 left on ticker, 198 cashed), play 2 235's and 2 185's.  Luckily made a nice run in my last $185 on June 2nd, to take down 3rd for a little over 6k, had 425 entrants, flew home last night/this morning on the red eye.  Good Luck to those still heading out, and those out there already!

My first WSOP experience was awesome and frustrating at the same time. Played just the Milly Maker. Bagged 29k+ to end Day 1. Broke a tooth 20 minutes before we started day 2. Won a couple small pots early then lost 12k. Chipped back up to 32k. Then disaster. Could have folded my way into the money at that point (<200 left before the money). Shoved to a large bet after 10d, 7d, 2c flop with QQ. Ran into AA. cry

Just a reminder that we are having a little TPE gathering tomorrow (Friday) at 7pm at the Gold Coast bowling alley.

Should be good times, hope to see as many of you there as possible!

Back from Vegas. Had a great experience at my first WSOP. Probably fitting that I had to suffer a horrendous beat in my first go round. Couldn’t cash any other tourney until the last one at the aria where I chopped their nightly seven ways with second place chips for $2700. That left me with a modest $500 profit, so a good trip overall

Well, played day 1c bagged 44.6, was very happy with it because AA lost to 54o late.  Day 2 sat at first table with great friend, Trevor Deeter.  Played a hand bad, but still had plenty of chips.  Full Dbl w/ AA vs K4o lol.  Tbl change.  QQ v AK to bust, K in the window.  Very pleased with play, made right folds, wasn't spewy exp for one spot.

More importantly I got to stop by the TPE house and hang with boys for a bit.  I was dealing with severe back spasms all entire trip.  The dumb banuqet chairs killed me.  Thank goodness for the massage staff (esp Alicia)  Didn't get to hang out with friends and awesome people because I was in pain most of the time.

Still happy w/ seeing a bunch of you peeps, was fun.

I'll be back next year w/ a much different schedule.

Count me in for the MillyMaker.

lastly, Congrats to all you beasts who made FT's and cashes

Every year I feel like i did not get to hang out with people as much as I had hoped.  It really is tough amidst the grind of the wsop.  when you are not playing you just kind of want to chill at the house and eat.  lol.

Gotta get better at it though, too many cool peeps to be hanging with!

Not sure if I posted it before but had a great time at the TPE bowlarama… Great times!! Had a blast having some cocktails after too w All the guys…. Just a thought for next year… Is there any way we can do a TPE poker tournie somewhere… Maybe $200 or $100??? Hell $20 and get juiced!!!??? Lol. I think that would be awesome and something I would make sure I was out there for.

Cheers guys!!

thanks for coming out!

I think a poker tournament would be a blast.  Maybe we can find a smaller casino that would run it for us.  I'll do some research before the series next summer and see if we can pull it off!

Exactly what I was thinking. The Quad, South Point, Flamingo… I’m sure someone would be happy to rake it…

Already looking forward to next year…

I've been involved in a few “friends only” SnG's at the Rio during the series. Might be possible to get a few tables for a special event like this if you book in advance. If not, one of the smaller rooms would for sure.
