Should have gotten HM2 with Notecaddy. I used PT4 beta for awhile and played around with their note tracker but it just doesn't come close to what notecaddy can do.
After saying that, pt4 isn't a bad program. It was fun using it while i could. But i still perfer HM over it.
Maybe you are like me though, after using a program for so long you just grow attached to it and stay with it.

Unfortunately I got a free license for pt3 when signing up for another training site years ago so don’t want to buy the full HM2 coz the pt4 upgrade was cheap. I’m assuming HM don’t have a cross grade option to get people across from PT4 and I don’t think the database can be imported either. I would rather use HM2 and prob don’t mind starting a new database but paying for another full program seems a bit expensive for a few differences? Is it really “that” much better than Pt4?

Pending what site you play for, you can sign up through different affiliates an get HM2 at a discount. I signed up through leggopoker on lock and got HM2 for 50$. Others like party poker, titan and others you can get HM2 for free. Details are on holdemmanager’s website for those.
Leak finding is much easier with HM2, better filters for database, more than enough stats (although with pt4 you can create your own), notecaddy you can create your own notes and turn them into hud stats so in essence you can create your own hud stats with hm2 through note caddy and imo HM2 has been less buggy than PT4. Then again i was just using the PT4 beta. So i guess i can’t put that against them. People have complained about problems with HM2 but i’ve seen no errors or no problems yet.
In the end i think it’s just personal preference. Both programs are top notch. I just think HM2 has a few more better things going for them.
I also love how easy it is to create popups in hm2. Here are some bet popups i made for cash games, sometimes use them for tourney play.

HM2 was horrifically buggy in it’s beta stages, I think they released it too early, but it is awesome now, and from what I have read it I well ahead of PT4.
Even at full price it is worth it. Sometimes it is funny that someone will spend hundreds in buyins over a day or week but then thinks $100 for hem or $200 for a second monitor is all of a sudden hideously expensive.
If you spend more on a night at the pub then you have no excuse not to buy it imo
