Have always played on a decent home computer but might take my show on the road one of these days. Thinking about buying a laptop.

Are there any special requirements processor, memory, etc. to play poker online?

most laptops these days will be fine. if you have a bit of cash to spend get one with a solid state drive, it makes the computer much faster for reading and writing to disc, which is what you do a lot with poker, i.e writing hand history files, reading from a database etc etc.
