The hand replayers that come with HM and PT are decent. The universal hand replayer is good, but sometimes is plagued with problems. I am still exploring other options for a software thread I am creating. For now, I would use one of the three mentioned.

i really do think there is a market out there for someone to create a better HH replayer, particularly as the “universal” one isn't exactly universal and only really covers the major sites.
get on it preator LOL
ill gladly pay $20 for a really good replayer.

LOL! I agree with you on both accounts. I need to expand my poker sites to more than PS, FT and AP and a well made hand player would be awesome. I know there are some internet only players, but I have not played with them much, maybe I should take a look.

Is there such thing as a “live” stats option when using a HH replayer?
Are there any HH replayers that show your stats for the players up to the exact moment of the hand? I use HEM but the “Stats Up to Day of Hand” option seems to still show me stats that include the hands that happened after the specific hand I'm reviewing. I want to analyze the hand and be able to see the exact same stats that I saw when I was actually playing. It throws me off when I see all the stats I have for that player and I can't be sure if my thinking at the time was correct because now I have different information and there's no way I could remember what stats I had at the time. Sorry if I'm not making any sense, maybe if I give an example…
So let's say I'm reviewing the 5th hand of a tournament vs an unknown player who I only had 4 hands on at the time. But if we played 100 hands together in that tourney then HEM will show 100 hands worth of stats even when I'm looking at the 5th hand and only had 4 hands in my DB at the time. I feel that this makes it difficult for me to judge if I made the correct decision or not. Of course this all depends on when the hand in question took place in relation to how much total data you've collected, but is there any solution to this?
