Welp, shoved 10bbs from the sb w/ A9 and the big stack bb wakes up with AK. K on flop. GG me. 3rd for 12k…I'll take it but it was so close that I really don't want to do anything but mope around and stare at my hand history.

This is why it pays off to be blasting a ton of pots lately. Thanks Mark Alliotto for that. I think it's funny that this guy says I buy into 215's 5-6 times, which after looking through my ledger, I have done 2 times just because the table I was at was so great. Pretty rich.

Guessing you have to have AQ to his KQ for you to make the huge cooler comment. I don't see any way you have AA.

Either way… nice run!

I had AQ, I put my thoughts on the hand in the P5s forum. I guess it’s just a good example of not auto 3balling with AQ, seeing a flop an having the guy absolutely crushed. The biggest difference in the situation is that previously I probably would have check called on the qq9dd flop and check/jammed the turn which may have pushed him out of the pot because he kept chatting about how he almost folded the turn. If I just check jammed the turn that smells too much like the absolute nuts.

After Marc’s HR video, I decided that repping the flush draw, a up and down straight draw, combo draw, QJ, Q10, and to a lesser extent just raising trying to push him out on a paired board. I made the bet just enough on the turn when the ace fell to build the pot to where I had almost just under a pot sized river jam. Even if I would have taken the line of check raising the flop and betting the turn, I normally would just value bet the river but jammed instead based on Marc’s line of value jamming. The sick thing is that normally I am also bluff jamming so his call wasn’t that bad, he just got coolered.

After that hand I had pretty much 100bbs all the way until the final 3 or 4 tables so it was pretty smooth sailing from there.

Yea, it polarizes my 3bet range for the moment but after that hand I was three betting a lot knowing that my 3ball range was pretty polarized to the top of my range to everyone who saw that hand and doesn’t play with me regularly. To say I was three balling crap after that would be an under statement.

Haha thanks Carlos. “You're a beast”….let me tell you a little story about the real beast. When I first came back to online poker at the beginning of the year, I made it bigstacked to the Lock Nightly 5k. I was 2nd in chips and loxxii was in 1st. End result, I finished in 8th and Loxxii shipped it. Who stacked me and took all my chips? Loxxii, a true beast.

I still think its hilarious that my only note on you from that night was “trying to steal this guys big blind is like trying to take a 40 from a homeless man. Get ready for a fight.”

I have a couple hands from this tourney that I am going to post tonight. Some great, some good, and some really awful but I have some really borderline spots that I need some help on. Can't wait to read the responses.
