He decided to be a good sport and start calling me a fish for how i played it surprised which is funny coming from the guy who limp/called a 25bb stack OOP with a small pair trying to flop a set (that is bad yeah?) But was either of these hands played poorly on my behalf? My assumption is they aren't and i am second guessing myself because i lost the hands, but may as well ask anyway smile

Hand #1
In my opinion your three bet size into 2 limp callers is rather big. I think you get the same info from a smaller 3-bet (right now about 5x). However, I am sure some would prefer your sizing and you have a large stack to make moves such as this if you wish.
On the flop I like your c-bet, but knowing the player called the large 3-bet pre, you could find a fold here when the player goes all in. I mean I know you have top pair, but it is a very high variance spot in my opinion (heart draw, possible overpairs, straight draws, maybe even A10, or trip 9's). Do you have the fold to 3-bet% for the player? I feel, in hindsight, you could have waited for a better opportunity to get the majority of your stack in, this late into a tournament. The player has ~30 bbs to start so he was not in desperate need for a double which makes the play a little more suspicious as well.

However, turns out you were correct and the fish got lucky.

Hand #2

I have no problem with your post flop play. You have top pair, decent kicker and flush draw. However pre-flop you could also consider just jamming your 24bb's. May be the less variance play? I think for the most part you were just unlucky here.

Nice run in any case, you will get there soon and ship one of these.
