Like PokerStrategy, for an hr ea week have a pro come in chat and a short discussion on a topic to do with Mtts with live user questions answered or a review of hands played from a topic.
This is a great way for chat to become active as it usually doesn’t have that many people and for the pros to converse more with the member base and help members to their specific needs.
These could also be recorded and released as part of the TPE program. As something I’ve always heard, if someone’s got a question there’s bound to be others out there wondering the same thing.

The only problem I see: How do you chat about a specific topic / question when there are constantly new questions coming in and people all talking over / to each other??
This stuff has to be moderated. Once you start to moderate it, you might as well do it as a podcast which is more efficent anyway. Just announce a guest pro for next week, collect questions in a thread and then talk about it on the podcast. The 2+2 podcast does this the exact same way.

could just open up the thread before the podcast and get people to ask questions

This. The topic would be used to have hands posted in also that may relate to specific topic being discussed or just hands in general.
These sessions wouldn’t require as much production value as a podcast would and could easily be recorded, edited and produced at a later point as part of the TPE schedule.
