I have a video suggestion – Overbetting.
I have been chatting a lot with duggs, who has been playing deep cash games, and he uses overbetting a ton. basically when their range is capped but yours isnt you can get away with a whole bunch of stuff.
i have been experimenting with it a bit, both in cash game and tourneys, and it seems to work really well.
A vid would be great.

Interesting idea. I think you’re right about the type of situation where it’s good. One thing I’m actually not clear on myself yet is which hands are best for overbetting flop/turn. I used to assume that strong draws would be best, on the theory that if you’re going to put a lot of money into the pot it’s nice to have equity when called, but PokerSnowie seems to have arrived at a somewhat opposite principle that the larger you bet the more polarized you should be.

yeah i find myself being pretty polarised when i have been experimenting. I find it actually works better on dry boards though where its pretty clear they can have at best top pair type hands. if you just put them to the test you can be pretty bluff heavy but because it takes a lot to call down.
in addition, i think it also works well when you have a very disguised hand. i.e turn a low two pair etc when its highly likely they have top pair, and sets sometimes too, for balance.
doing it with draws seems to be a little more transparent i think (at least in my games), and i think you get calls from top pair because it is easy to put you on a draw. personally both duggs and myself have started to check call, then cr turn with these sorts of combo draws, which think looks much stronger on wet boards
this might get you owned at higher stakes where they can put in twice the pot on the river with top pair and not think anything of it, but i am finding at low stakes it seems to work (at least i think it is haha)

You can overbet in lots of different spots one of the most obvious is when your opponents range is capped. From my understanding from watching videos from Sauce123 is that in any spot where your opponents range is truly capped you should bet the maxium your allowed with both your bluffs and value hands. Another spot to overbet on boards and cards which are better for your range and bad for your opponents. A classic example is a A,K,Q flop or on a 2,8,5,K board. Other great spots to overbet are with nut blockers like for example the Ac on 3 flush board. However, at present i tend to unbalance my overbetting range towards bluffs because i find that people just fold way to much to them. Ofcourse i will play more balanced against tougher opponents.
