I think in the spirit of competition, you should consider having a TPE pro cage match. Maybe make it a yearly thing. I bet the pros would love the bragging rights to the title. Even better, you could have ALL of them recording vids while playing. Wouldn’t THAT be an interesting series?!

Glad you like the idea. From watching the videos, the Pros all have different styles, so I was wondering how they would counter each other.  Honestly I got the idea from watching the Mike Leah and Big Dog combined video. I liked watching them play together. It was interesting seeing the hands from each perspective. Hehe, I guess if you did do this, RFB would have a heck of an editing job ahead of him!

I was gonna suggest this a while ago, I saw this idea being used on pokervt, where several pros including Daniel negreanu, Jon turner, Bryan Devonshire and Jason Somerville played a cash game. They each got their own video on their play, then they spliced them all up into one video with all hole cards shown. Very interesting idea, it would work great if it could be done here, maybe all pros can find a site they can all play at and jump into a private sit n go??

We’d love to have a guest pro play in our TPE Down Under Home Game on Stars and record it as a live sweat. We’d most definitely put a points bounty on their head… I’d also go out on a limb and say that the competition amongst our group is fairly strong.

I have an idea. Have all the online grinder pros play on their own site and do a fantasy pool for the year. It could be be a points based system and they will need to video it. The higher the stake the more money.

The winner of this fantasy pool would get a year subscription to TPEdge and coached by the winner.

Bluefire did that for an anniversary vid – Phil, Don, Niman, and the others all recorded themselves playing 6 Max cash against each other and it was fun seeing the big pots and hearing both sides of it. It was hell to edit and put together but you could follow along well enough.

Ok, what about this

pros play a SNG against each other on stars play money.

Then afterwards, they put the hand history into a replayer and all jump on record the discussion of the hand history.

they all know what their cards were in any given hand, and can reveal if there is no showdown.

Each spot would be kinda like the discussion of the podcast with more comedy thrown in.

You could run a comp where a TPEer gets in on it too, put $200 up if they win or something.

Hmmm, maybe have a subscriber prelim where the winner gets to play in the pros tourney! That would be cool. A prize would be nice, but not needed. The bragging rights and learning experiance for all the TPE'ers would be the best part.

Do I get get a consultant fee for coming up with the orignal idea? 😛

Do it! Do it! Do it! It's just gotta be done……

And you absolutely have to have a TPE subscriber involved through prelims of some sort…the ultimate training experience (and possibly humiliation but who cares).

Awesome concept and could be used for marketing purpose's as well (gotta sell it to the boss(es) )

This is a pretty awesome idea and something I think we will start working on.  Might take a little while to get the logistics worked out but could be a blast.
