Here are some more theory vid ideas for you…they are my favorite vids on the site.

-More on 3-bet shoving (would like to see more of a classroom style one on this with poker stove math, etc…first video had some nice spots but I think we could have more depth)

-Restealing classroom video

-Blind vs blind battles (abusing the SB when they raise/limp into your BB, how to handle playing from SB vs a good BB, various stack size considerations, etc)

-Smart stealing (collection of pots the coach “stole” –mostly postflop and not with just a simple cbet — with air/not much of a hand and considerations behind their lines, etc)

-Handling super aggro opponents

Anyone else have some ideas?

These are really good ideas.

A “Poker Math” theory vid is in the works so I think we'll be covering some of what you mention above as far as math.

Here are a few more.  Sorry if any are dups.

Bluffing – picking spots, table dynamics, setting it up, etc.

Changing gears – recognizing when you should, disguising/transitioning (you don't want to be waving a flag at the table), etc

Online tells – timing tells, bet-sizing tells, etc.

Calling in tough spots – table dynamics, reads, etc

This is the type of situation I was thinking of – not this spot particularly but this type:

A few others:

-Late game call/fold decisions to short stack all ins/resteals/etc

-Flop stealing via check raise or bluff raise in position, HH examples and thoughts behind it, etc

Can you do a vid (may be in the math vid) showing how to use pokerstove and displaying some common probabilities/situations.  If this was already mentioned my bad.

Mixing speculative starting hands into your opening range, or your 3betting range.  How/when/why.  Turning them into bluffs when you miss.

I finished watching bigdogpckt5s and ttwist last “Stick it to the man” series, they were very informative I was thinking that I open shove pretty loose but in part 4 I realized that I am showing way to tight with more them 10bb. I watched and wrote down hands where bigdogpckt5s recomended shove with more then 10bb and it made me realize that it may be one of my biggest leaks- I bleed away chips deep in tournaments and miss valuable spots to shove. I think great topic for theory video would be open shoving more then 10bb that consists form collected HH examples.

I still would like to see “Hand Reading Basics” and then “Advanced Hand Reading” or you could lump it all into “How to THINK like a PRO” – I recommend Mr. Jon Wein for this as hes brilliant! but any and all TPE pros are more then capable of doing this.

The toughest thing about creating Theory videos is compiling the hands that meet the requirement for the video.  It takes us hours to find the right hands for each video we've created, and those have been relatively straight forward.

What I think I'm going to do is create a simple upload function where you can post a HH that covers a theory function and then once we get enough to make a full video we can go get them and make the theory video.

This also allows you guys to get more hands reviewed.

Stay tuned!

I can imagine how tough & time consuming that could be. So what about getting some software that would allow you guys to create the situation exactly as required?

There are a number of websites that have thousands of providers available to work on individual projects, who can create almost any type of software at ridic low bargain prices.

Let me know if you require further info on such sites & I will pm you guys with the details

Hi everyone there, besides all the ideas above, which would all be very interesting to watch in a theory vid, i would really like to see a “leading the river” vid.

This is a very powerful weapon to use out of position especially in a heads up pot imo, and i sometimes watch the bigdog using it in his live sweats.

Thanks for everything else anyway, i really love this site and all the stuff explained here is great, my game is getting better and better thanks to TPE…

Keep it up!

How about theory videos on:

Decision making based on stack sizes

Making an overall strategy

or opening theory video.

I'd like to see something (it doesn't have to be a long video) about how to figure out your bankroll requirements for MTTs

Hi, check out this article.  Not sure it's a video.  It'll probably be something we talk about on a future podcast as well:
