Would love to see a TPE video app for smart phones.

Hey do you have any examples of what you mean? Are you saying simply download to the smartphone or is there a specific type of app you had in mind.

With most smart phones, you can download applications for them. I have several like bank of america, usa today, radio paradise etc. Couldn't find a good video of what I am talking about but this one has a good jam:
It would basically be a downloadable widget that would have instant access to TPE videos.

I access my TPE from my Iphone and Droid just by going to the internet, typing in the URL and then making a shortcut. You really dont need an app to do it.

you have obviously not used some of the forum apps around then, they are soooooo much better than using the browser. unfortunately this site doesn't support them (yet)
I have obviously used plenty of apps considering I have a 4g Iphone and a 4g Droid, but I was explaining how I access this site for the same reason you just stated. So in hindsight, thank you for proven my point on how to do it again Benny.
I just tried this on my iPhone, if you access a vid a link appears that says 'Click here to view on your mobile device'. It took only a couple of minutes to load and the quality was great, so no app needed IMO.
I have never had any problems with the quality either Gary.

To take a little bit of a peek behind the curtain at TPE, I'd like to get our forum as mobile as soon possible. Just being a forum addict I can see the value of using an app designed specifically for smart phones.
Our forum software is supposedly coming out with more mobile support in it's next release so I'm going to hold off on any major changes until then. However, if it's not very good mobile support we are going to look at changing platforms to a more mobile-friendly platform.
Most people generally feel the video loading on mobile is well done so i'm not in a huge rush to change that but I can definitely see the value for the forum.
