I’ve thought about this and it’s not THAT hard to implement.  The problem is that I’ve seen chats on other sites go without any traffic and people just revert to AIM because it’s more convienent than keeping another browser window open.

I’ve belonged to a poker messageboard for a number of years where we tried to put a chat on the site and no one used it.  Instead, we just created a chat room everynight over AIM.  That worked really well.  We’d get between 7-12 people in the room nightly.

I think we should start there.  Next time I play KB or I play session (either tonight or tomorrow night) We’ll create a chat room called “TPE” and post how to access it here.  Hopefully it’ll be popular enough that you guys can start creating it as well even if we aren’t online.
