Hi

Maybe such a vid already exists but I would like to see training videos where the instructor is solely focusing on a single MTT during his session. To share his thoughts behind player profiling, exploiting lines of play, analyzing the opponents play to get whatever info might be useful down the line, targeting opponents, adjusting to changing table dynamics, being moved to a new table, adjusting to opponents' stack sizes, building and using your image, when to create your own luck …

In other words, a training vid that would be applicable to those times when you are playing an important tournament that you qualified for (say you qualified for a WPT event, or simply just a high buyin tournament way above your normal buy-in).

Certainly, one would play such an unusual tournament differently than when multi-tabling numerous tables…

Most MTT videos are currently based out of multi-tabling sessions and such a theme would fill a gap in your current offerings.

PS: would like the video to start from level 1. The video would not necessarily have to be a deep run.

Thank you!

Have you tried, HH reviews? they pretty much go through every hand from start to finish? and there are a ton of them on the site, otherwise i think a few sweats have single tables the whole way through

i agree that a hand history review will get the same information that you are talking about, but i think a theory vid on how to play tables where you have no edge could be good. i.e what adjustments to make when you are playing something that you know you are the fish at the table. kind of like kill phil adjustments.

Hi all.

Agree somewhat about the hand reviews but tell me if i'm wrong. Typically, Hand reviews  jump from one hero's hand to the next bypassing table dynamics, opponent's play analysis when not involved.. Most skip table dynamics entirely and are all about analyzing how the heor dealt with a specific situation.

Hand reviews are indeed close though and since I haven't seen all of them, maybe some do not jump from hand to hand.

But as mentionned in my original post, what would one do differently or what else would be looked at when single tabling to maximize win rate as opposed to multi tabling?

This is different from hand review since those vids are typically out from a tournament where the hero was successful while multitabling (until he got deep) where essentially, the play the hero adopted was the usual multitabling approach (until got deep and paid more attention).

My request is about getting an insight on optimal plays to ship THIS tournament. Not optimal plays to maximize your ROI on the long run in multi tabling sessions.

I read a while back in a thread that your ROI should be higher when single tabling. I agree of course. But what would be done differently? What other strategies would be used to give an additional edge.

Hope that you understand what i'm trying to say. If not let me know!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll now go browse the Hand review vids to see if any are close to my request..
