I came up with this idea last night when I was playing on stars with a local friend of mine who’s new to the online poker community and fairly new to the game as a whole. I called him on the phone as we were playing together at different tables we would discuss each others lines, plays, spots, reads, etc. with each other. This was a highly effective medium for pin pointing leaks and weaknesses in his game ! I believe a similar segment with site members and pros would be an awesome addition your videos. If this sounds like something you guys might be into send me a message and I’ll give you my number. Id love to opportunity to be the genie pig for something like this. Thanks!

Hi,
I think this is a little to close to ghosting for us. Not implying that you and your friend were playing hands together but I think it might raise some eyebrows if pros were recorded watching another player’s screen during a live session and providing feedback, even after the hand is completed. It’s just too close to improper behavior for us to get near. Word will spread and facts will get distorted and all of a sudden some one will say that TPE pros ghost their members.
The concept is good though. It’s what lead to the “Sticking it to the Man” series which is simliar, except the pros comment on a recording of a live session.
ok here is my question about ghosting,
when a coach(not here but a coach who charges 75 bucks an hour and does a sweat) generally sweats a player , how does he do it ?
I always thought he sat there and watched you play and gave advice or you sat there and watch him play via team viewer and gave each advice.
i did see on two plus two someone who said they wouldnt’ sweat someone who was deep in a tourney as it was unethical.
I think it make more sense for me if i was to get a coach session, i would want him to review a couple off hhs and put them into a team viewer on the replayer and we go over leaks,, that is the ideal way to get past the idea of coaching live sweat right ?
Ghosting is when someone is watching your hands (or on the phone with you and you tell them your hands and then they give you advice during the hand. this is illegal.
Generally watching your hands and giving advice afterwards is ok. I still think it could lead to unethical behavior at some point due to temptation – but it’s not outright cheating.
For our site, I prefer to avoid both types because it is a gray area and could lead to confusion and misperceptions.
