Hi all, I joined TPE a week or two ago and wanted to post a few thoughts on the site.

I’ve been a member of I think five video sites over the years, and taken a “free look” at the videos on a couple of others.  Comparing TPE to other training sites, I really appreciate your efforts to build a community.  You guys deserve credit for paying attention to the player; I really like how you are open to suggestions, and how the coaches comment so often in the forums.   It’s good that you focus on MTT’s and if you keep it up in the direction you’re going, I wouldn’t be surprised if you are the leader in MTT training soon.

My suggestions on the kind of videos to make would be to feature more of the type where a member or other non-pro has their hand history reviewed.   I see you already have 3-4 of that type and that’s great.  But my suggestion, and it might be radical, is that I think training sites should make 30-50 % of their videos this type.  The amatuer players really needs this kind of coaching.  Videos where a coach and an amatuer player are both talking, with the amatuer asking questions, would be great.  It’d good to see videos of the coach shipping some big event; those are always going to be there.  But every site does that.  How about more videos where the kinds of questions that the typical player struggles with get raised and answered?

Also, I like videos where the commentary is hard-hitting.  Some sites never want to insult any player or their play  because they might be a member.  I want to hear real criticism!    Actually you guys are pretty good at that too.  Enjoying the site!  Good luck

Thanks Atrain…good stuff here…we are going to do a very in-depth review of what we’ve learned, and think about future direction after the WSOP so it helps to have this sort of feedback.

I’ll make sure all of the pros see this.

I have said before that most / all of the training sites teach players how to beat the 100+ buyin tournaments and I think most members who sign up for a site like this do NOT currently have the bankroll to play and beat those games. I love how the site does member HH reviews but I think they need to vary the buyins more to cater to the smaller buyin / micro stakes players. I really need smaller buyin videos, theory and hand history member reviews.

Having said all that, I LOVE the Theory videos, Stick it to the man series and team member reviews. Other sites are not doing this type of instruction and I really get alot out of the format. Keep up the awesome work TPE you guys are really starting to come into your own. Fantastic ideas here and i’m so glad that I signed up (even though i’m not playing right now)

cheers – you guys rock!

I will say the staff here at TPE is top notch. I post suggestions and PM admin as well and I always get a reply. The guys do listen as they have added features to the site that have come from the community. Also they have been recording some smaller tourneys at the members request. The other day I saw Killingbird playing a $4.40 tourney. I would just add to the requests is that the tourneys dont need to be wins or even deep runs. If you have an hour of footage then put it up and lets discuss. How many times have we all made the right play and busted out? Its all about getting exposed to situations over and over again and gettting our thought process down that leads to growth. Its nice to see a win but the information in the video is whats crucial…imo
