I noticed Wein saying (in one of his 100c win video) that this site is for NLHE tournaments only and that's why he won't bring the HORSE miniftops into the foreground (he played it on the side). Obv the big traffic comes with NLHE but I guess there is more than enough demand out there for other forms of poker. I wouldn't mind seeing like 2-4 non NLHE videos per month. I mean..let's face it, NLHE will dry up sooner or later and the focus will shift even more to the mixed games. We already see this trend in cash games and PLO and also saw it at the WSOP with the largest live PLO MTT ever.

Anyway… just a thought .. and since Wein seems to enjoy HORSE you already have someone who can record some videos 😉

I play a lot of mixed game MTTs, and I think they are really soft so maybe one video on a few of the games.  PLO would be good, then maybe a HORSE video to cover the limit games?  I have a couple deep runs if you need a hand history.  I think these would be helpful, because limit games play pretty straight forward deep stacked, but with high blinds, especially games like Omaha HI/Lo limit change a lot.  Would like to get the pro's insight on some of the high blind situations.

ah. just noticed, that Wein moved the MSOP 7game tournament to the feature table once he was down to 2 MTTs in part 7 .. but still. would love some videos which are dedicated just to mixed games

kind of wondering though how you can multitable horse … it's hard for me to remember the doorcards when I'm one-tabling stud .. but when I play multiple tables?

Why can't we do both???  Honestly that is something that can set this site apart.  There is almost no mixed game tournament videos to be found anywhere on the internet.  Mixed games is def where poker is heading and it would be pretty cool for this site to be on the cutting edge and putting out these videos.

I don't see how it could hurt anyone.

I also don't see what the problem is .. it's not like we want 50% of the videos to be mixed games. But having 2-4 non NLHE videos per month gives people who want to break out of the NLHE boredom something to watch, and guys who want NLHE only still have PLENTY of videos. If it weren't for training sites, I would have never gotten into mixed games .. I still remember a 2-7 triple draw video on cardrunners where I was like “wtf .. who cares about that”, but after watching it I instantly jumped into a TD game on Pokerstars. Same story with Stud (when I watched a video by Joe Tall on DC). I guess you actually need to see a game in action and hear the strategy behind it to enjoy the new format.

Btw: I just looked at the homepage of TPE and it clearly doesn't state that this site is for NLHE MTTs only. So I don't know where you get that assumption from, Metasploit.

I'll talk to the pros and see who has experience in other forms of poker.  I'd agree that it would be a few videos and not really detract from the NL focus, especially since we've put out an NL video every weekday for over 3 months.

+1, unless you are allergic to mixed game videos I don't see how this would ever hurt you. I play a fair amount of Mixed Game MTTs and they are very soft.  People are getting competent at NLHE now, so it can't hurt to have a video out on each of the letters in HORSE and maybe a couple omaha ones.  I think that learning these games would increase everyone's profit, and that is one of the reasons we all signed up.
