By my count the last 70 videos released were all hand history reviews and live sweat videos. Most with the same format of one pro talking about a tournament they went deep in and at higher stakes than most people play. They can be good but enough already, theres too much of them. I posted in lafauriea's thread, who had a great idea of making concept based videos, about what videos I wanted to see so I won't go over it again here.

I think the pro's sometimes forget that when they make videos they are teachers trying to teach students and talking over a long hand history with no goals and limited interaction may not be the best way for their students to learn. Its easier to make a video like this granted but its not the best way to teach poker concepts imo. Yes they have their advantages but with the last 70 videos being HH reviews, I think its bein covered.

There are loads of great ideas in the 'Site Ideas and suggestion box' thread about different videos people want to see and different formats that the pros could use but sadly very few ever get made.

I remember Killingbird saying 'We of course do our best to put a little something out there for everyone' a while back so hopefully he still means it.

happy to report we have some different formats coming down the line.  Member tournament reviews, theory vids and we even just recorded a Stick It To The Man series which is something we have not done in a while so hopefully you guys enjoy it!

I heartily agree with all of this and although my most recent series have been HH reviews I'm very nearly finished a new theory series that I expect to be a very good addition to the TPE library 😉

Nice on a new Stick to the Man and more member review videos!  It's great to see the same mistakes that we make and how to fix them.

hello

I didn't want to put “theory” video in the title as it can scare! by applied concept I mean theory mixed with examples. Currently a lot of hand review videos are released. it can be interesting for sure, but from my point of view, there is a lack of interaction and work to do, it is more a show to watch sometimes very interesting, because we can pick up some ideas, but sometimes too much with 4, 5, 6 parts…

I'd like to launch this thread, to put all what we can propose as ideas, if you are interested in?

let's start:

– Flop plays –> CB or not CB, use flopzilla or anything else to study and anticipate turn play.

– before ITM, or climbing the prize ladder:tricky stack size like 24-35 where in my case I'm always not sure and become risk/averse or crazy by fancy play! Raise/fold; raise/call, call shove

– link to the previous one, game flow dynamic concept, adaptation, players profiling

– deep database review, how to proceed to a leak finding.

– block theory

– building range:raise, 3B/fold or call; 4B

– non “orthodox” lines or special move: limp reraise; minraise with less 15bb, squeeze,…

– play in the blinds or against the blinds: steal, resteal, squeeze…

I did put many things, but kind of brainstorming…smile

I just copied and pasted this to a couple of the pros i think will knock this out of the park. Thanks for the great ideas i will keep you posted on what we come up with and which pro will be doing it.

I have asigned a bunch of 1 off vids to Theginger45 and he is excited about this project. He will making 1 part vid series where a live sweat meets theory making 40-50 min vids on things like 1.How to play AK 2.KK on Ace hihg board 3.QQ on K high board 4.suited connectors 5. small pairs 6.Mid pairs etc etce etc. the idea is for him to pause recording and fire up when he has these type of hands in these type of spots. Please add more suggestions in the post and we will try to accomadate.

Hi
I threw a bunch of ideas in different posts. I’d like to add some:

– Constructing range in MTT vs effective stack vs vilain type (adaptation)
– MTT review with hidden cards where we speak in each spot about range and not only holecard
– Range dynamics once the board come up and planning vs diferent type of turn
– turn and river play. bluff catching
– leak finding –> when open a database what to look especially for MTT. let’s say identifiyng the 10 most important leaks in database and work on.

I hope something will come up because it looks like the life slowdown on the site and I’m sure if the frequency of materials available and the variety will help. right now we are still in a x parts hand review/live sweat mode with x>7 that can’t help. I don’t say to stop this, because aaaaaa and danny stuff is great but mix it up with fresh and short stuff one part will be great especially concept vids.
I guess now we can come back in mid february if we want to skip 15 parts serie currently released. Looking forward for foucault stuff

PS: where are merfinis, Alioto, Warrington (very disapointed with the second part we wait on postflop but I know he has to work on other stuff), bigdog)
